Genital warts usually appear as soft, moist, pink, or flesh-colored swellings, usually in the genital area. They can be raised or flat, single or multiple, small or large, and sometimes cauliflower shaped. They can appear on the vulva, in or around the vagina or anus, on the cervix, and on the penis, scrotum, groin, or thigh. After sexual contact with an infected person, warts may appear within weeks or months, or not at all.
anywhere from days to years. there are over 100 strains of the HPV virus….only 4 of which cause warts. there is ton's of info on the web about HPV, check it out for details. i reccomend the center for disease control web site. oh and dont feel alone b/c 1 in 2 people have some type of HPV and 80% of women have it by the age 50! pretty crazy huh? you think they'd inform us all of that during sex ed in high school rather than how tampons work! haha
sometimes years… sometimes asap. when i found out i had hpv it was a year and half later after being with my husband… but during the time i was getting signs like (yeast infections, bacterical infections) and no on could figure out why…untill i got tested a few months ago. Although… some people who have hpv… will never show… others will get break outs once in there life. thats all i pretty much know….. I have a low grade of it.
EVEN IF THE PERSON DOESN'T HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS U COULD STILL BE a RISK… WHAT U NEED TO DO IS GO GET TESTED… IF U START TO FEEL BUMPS HAVE THEM CHECKED OUT.. THE SOONER U GO GET CHECKED THE SOONER THE DOCTOR COULD TAKE CARE OF THEM AND THEY WON'T SPREAD…. THEY DOCTOR WITH EITHER DO SURGERY TO REMOVE THEM OR GIVE U MEDS… GO TO THIS WEB SITE AND READ UP ON IT…webmd.com/sexual-conditions/h…
I have low risk HPV and recently have gotten an outbreak. it can show asap or a few years. Some men don't know they are carriers because the symtoms don't occur as fast as women and also he can't be tested UNLESS he has an outbreak (dumb huh?). anyway, just be careful and If u have HPV don't sleep with anyone else unprotected. PLEASE.
