I have sinus and my mom bought the Advil Cold an Sinus pills. I want to take it but the symptoms are horrible! If any of you have taken this pill can you please let me know if any of these symptoms happened to you?

* facial swelling
* asthma (wheezing)
* shock
* skin reddening
* rash
* blisters
and stomach bleeding.
I really want to take this but i don't want any of these side affects to happen..

I've found that many times Drs will prescribe steroids and antihistamine drugs like visteril etc. this is thought of as a cure all, when they don't know how to cure the underlaying problem. We always need to be careful with steroid/drug use – there are a lot of side effects including hair loss, weight gain, fluid retention and high blood pressure.

Focus on treating the underlaying cause of your sinusitis/allergy and minimize the flare ups by:

a) Grind 10-15 Basil leaves with 4 cloves and 1 teaspoon dried ginger into a paste and apply to forehead for sinus cure.

b) for a painful sinus headache, try a hot footbath along with a cold compress on the forehead

c) Steam inhalation by bending over boiling water with a towel around your head to 'catch' the steam also helps with immediate relief.

d) a good multi-vitamin/mineral supplement is also a good idea with additional vitamin C and vitamin a.

e) Also try finding what causes it in the first place, go on fasting or avoiding certain eatables or find out if it is some allergic element around you.
