So I'm 14 and I've been getting all the symptons of gallstones. This includes, EXCRUTIATING pain exactly where the gallbladder is, it takes over my whole body and i cnt breath it being just under my ribs (lungs).
I have been feeling nauseas for ages now and i get bad pains in my right arm/shoulder when the "attacks" happen.
I get the attacks when i run and they can last for a long time and stop me from continuing the run, all i can do is curl up and breathe heavily till the pain starts to settle a bit. It is interfeering with my excersising life.
The problem is both an ultrasound AND a blood test said there was NOTHING abnormal, but its my body and I just know something is going on in there. I can literally feel something sagging down, a sharp, heavy pain in the gallbladder spot.
I can't believe that i am in so much pain yet APPRENTLY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ME!!!!

Has this happened to anyone else? how did it turn out? what was the outcome? how do i deal with the situation?

Well, this is a doozy to try figure out. the
ultrasound should have shown anything that
was in there. I'm not sure what the blood
test would show. All I can think of is that the
gallbladder is actually inside the liver. There
is a hollow part up under the liver where the
gallbladder lays.
I actually used to be able to feel the stones
when they got caught in the bile duct and I
would massage them back into the gallbladder. This lasted for a couple years
until the pain was too great.
BUT if there are no stones, then could it
be the liver acting up? Have they tested
you for hepatitis? (that was probably the
blood test.) if you were in a town that was
close to a University Hospital, they surely
would find what was wrong…and their clinics
are such that they want patients with problems like yours so their students can learn. aside from this, I would try an Internist (Internal medicine) as they are trained specifically to make a proper diagnosis. they can find the problem where
others can't. but you need good insurance
cause they aren't cheap.
It may be something as simple as the actual running. many young men get the
cramps very hard in the spot you mention.
if you don't get the pain otherwise, just give
up the running for a couple weeks and see
if your side still hurts.
