She may also experience pain during other daily activities, such as during or immediately following sexual intercourse. Pain may also be felt when passing a bowel movement or during regular daily activities such lifting, bending or reaching. other more intense activities such sports and physical activity may also induce pain.

A woman with a ruptured ovarian cyst may experience pain associated with their menstrual cycle – in particular, pain may escalate just prior to or just after the menstrual period. a woman with an ovarian cyst, whether it is intact or ruptured, may experience a menstrual cycle that is irregular, or which is longer or shorter than usual. Bleeding may be much heavier than usual, or may be present as "spotting" – small bleeds that occur at random throughout the menstrual cycle. By contrast, other women with an ovarian cyst may find that their menstrual period stops altogether (amenorrhea).

Ovarian cyst rupture is sometimes associated with hemorrhage and as such, abdominal pain and bloating, especially if you are taking anticoagulant medications such as Warfarin, is of particular concern. sometimes a patient may also experience pallor or anemia, which may both be indicative of blood loss and internal bleeding. Internal bleeding is very serious and will require surgery to stem the blood flow and remove the blood from your abdominal cavity.

Other, more generalised symptoms which may support the diagnosis of ovarian cyst rupture include fever and nausea or vomiting. Patients whose cyst has ruptured may experience weakness, dizziness or fainting. These symptoms are serious, as they may be indicative of internal bleeding. in addition, excessively high or low blood pressure which is unrelated to or not explained by other medical conditions you are currently being treated for or medications that you are taking also warrants concern and immediate medical investigation.

Although the symptoms of a ruptured ovarian cyst are very similar to those present when an ovarian cyst has not ruptured, as well as similar to other less serious abdominal complaints, there is no reason to ignore these symptoms and wait for them to go away. a ruptured ovarian cyst can have potentially life-threatening complications, such as hemorrhage and infection and it is much better to have your symptoms investigated and found to be benign, than to require emergency surgery for a critical condition.

I just started birth control and I have been having leg pains, its in both legs, but at times it hurts really bad for like 2-3 minutes. I have started running agian and I hadnt stretched either, but im still worried, could I have a blood clot. please help!!! Im 19 and Im healthy never had any other problems, but im still scared!!!

i had the same problem too, your chances of getting a blood clot increases especially if you smoke….but anyways you'll feel pain, swelling, discoloration since its cutting circulation, and sometimes numbness. My pain lasted about 2 weeks, then it went away. but I would of gone to the doc, just never had the time to do so, but if you do it never hurts to find out and be safe…

When i had my first clot i was 18, very active and the only symptom i had was a cramp in my leg that lasted longer then a week, it became so painful that i was walking with a limp. I had an ultrasound done and they found out that a clot had formed.

clots don't run in the family and all they could put it down to was the contraceptive tablet. Ask your doctor

Good luck

Call your doctor and tell her whats going on. Sometimes you can see a blood clot and sometimes you can't, but I would call my doctor and tell them what's going on. Don't be scared, it could be just your muscles.

Personal trainer, author and motivational speaker wants women to benefit in the same way that her polycystic ovarian syndrome was transformed Katie Humphrey knows firsthand about just how miserable PCOS can make a woman’s life. she struggled for years with deeply distressing side-effects of polycystic ovarian syndrome like the lack of a menstrual cycle, weight gain, acne and constant fatigue. Finally, she was diagnosed with insulin resistance-linked PCOS and urged, like many women with this disorder, to take birth control pills and anti-diabetes medication to improve her health. unhappy with the prescribed course of action, Katie set off on a mission to discover a more natural way to overcome her condition. after extensive research, she began taking the Insulite PCOS system, which shared her approach to combating PCOS via natural supplements, nutrition and exercise. within six months, she had lost over 25 pounds, had clear skin, enjoyed consistent, natural energy and radiated confidence. Her menstrual cycle was restored and her hormones were balanced again, so she no longer experienced mood swings, night sweats or PMS. The transformation compelled Katie to find a new purpose in life and she became a NASM certified personal trainer and nutrition coach. Clients flocked to Katie and, after gaining enough experience, she turned her business, JK Humphrey International, into a global virtual company. Katie, who holds a B.A. in Business Administration, subsequently wrote a book entitled Freedom from PCOS: 3 Proven Steps to Naturally Overcome Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Insulin Resistance. she has been featured by Shape.com, ChickRx and the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Association (PCOSA) as well as interviewed by dozens of national radio shows as a motivational speaker, health writer and life coach for women and girls suffering from PCOS. Her message is that there are natural solutions to the symptoms of PCOS. And her aim is to empower females of all ages to create extraordinary changes in their health as well as in other areas of their lives by managing positive mental and emotional states. “I used to struggle with PCOS and serious hormonal imbalance, and now I help women with PCOS take positive action to reverse their condition,” says Katie. “I did it through the support of Insulite Labs and their PCOS system, so now I want to help other women do the same!” About PCOS it is estimated that between 10-15% of women have PCOS, an endocrine disorder that is the leading cause of infertility. an imbalance of insulin and glucose, called insulin resistance, is often the underlying cause of PCOS. Each woman is different. there might be differences related to nutrition, diet, exercise plans, prescription drugs or genetic factors. perhaps the ovaries gradually start less estrogen or estrogen production can suddenly change from month to month. Many unknown things.

Since the thirties begin, some women experience changes in their menstrual cycle. you can heavy or irregular. some women start to experience premenstrual syndrome for the first time in her life. some physicians see these files changes and describe the symptoms of peri menopause and help women comprehend what they can do to reduce the symptoms. other physicians grant women to form. And others point to a variety of prescription drugs that might or might not help.

in the regulation of menstruation Malthus alleviate this type of peri-menopause symptoms recommend some physicians birth control pills. Women using the pill, a shorter duration of symptoms less, but it is not always the case. some women should and can not take the pill, because of the associated risks. Many women like to take them either, unless they are necessary for contraception. Birth control pills have been known benefits and risks.
PMS aggravation of symptoms might also indicate perimenopause. PMS symptoms vary greatly among women, non-existent to severe. it might be helpful to keep a diary for some time, noting when symptoms such as mood swings and breast tenderness. there are at least 100 different symptoms associated with premenstrual syndrome, not all, fortunately, most women experience. Women who do not know the pill, PMS, because they do not ovulate, but can have similar symptoms with different hormone levels have connected.
The hot flashes and night sweats might be peri-menopausal symptoms, the most frustrating. Antidepressants can increase women in some night sweats. these symptoms are directly related to estrogen levels amendment. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) at one time was considered a innocuous treatment for all symptoms of perimenopause and menopause showed pero research that women with HRT women had an increased risk of heart disease, breast cancer, stroke and Alzheimer’s.

Found in plant foods and herbs that I like black cohosh phytoestrogens help menopause relief dog died and PMS symptoms naturally, without side effects.

I have many women who took six or seven different prescription drugs during peri menopause and still known problems.

I have been experiencing spotting for about 8 weeks now. It started after having irregular periods. I was thinking that reaching menopause would be a breeze for me. I started when I was 12 years old. I'm now over 50. I've been having a very irregular period, very light, with spotting in between periods. last month, I was very normal. I talked to my health care professional and she said that if the progesterone treatment didn't work that I would need to start hormone replacement therapy or even birth control pills. I am very reluctant to start birth control pills and especially HRT (hormone replacement therapy) because of the serious health risks. I don't bleed heavily nor am I experiencing any pain from the bleeding. I am very aware of the health risks concerning cancer. My mother died from cervical cancer 20 years ago. My parents divorced because of my father cheating on my mother. the oncologist believed my mother had HPV complications. This is before the research confirming the link between cervical cancer and HPV. he said that she had an STD at some point and the scarring from the disease brought on my mother's cancer. My father had been having numerous affairs with other women. My mother was faithful to my dad. she had post menopause bleeding and lost dramatic amounts of weight.
This is why I don't want to risk my health to an HRT. I know the links between heart disease, strokes and other female cancers. I don't want to be tortured by the menopause symptoms either. Is there a safe alternative to HRT? Why do conventional doctors only know one therapy for menopause? They should know the serious risks to this kind of therapy but yet still adhere to it. I'm very irritated. I'm trying to do my best with everything. Has anyone had similar experiences with perimenopause? Thanks.
