Sinusitis comes from the Latin, the suffix itis means inflammation in medicine because it sinusitis is an inflammation of the paranasal sinuses. Sinusitis can occur in acute, sub acute, chronic, and allergic or hiperplastiks. Symptoms of sinusitis vary depending on the type of infection. Symptoms commonly include nasal congestion and a runny liquid that drips from the back of the nose to the base of the esophagus.
