….you cannot hit the piriformis muscle …..the sciatic nerve travels below the priformis muscle …when u sit too long …you get wht is called sciatica which is when the piriformis muscle compress the sciatic nerve….also know as pain in the buttocks

If it is the immune system that is the problem then shouldn't we be trying to fix/alter that and not the virus it self ?

Your immune system is making you better, even though it has side effects. White blood cells release a lot of different chemicals to combat infections, one of them leads to the common fever. the body increases the temperature in order to kill the bacteria. you never want to alter the immune system because one advantage of letting the body fight infections is lasting immunity. a specific type of white blood cell, B cells, live for long periods of time and know how to fight specific infections so that if you get that same infection, the body responds faster and kills the bacteria quicker. if your immune system did not work, you would have chronic infections all the time and would die at a young age.

When a body has a weakened immune system, there are fewer reserves to fight and ultimately the body loses the battle. Sometimes this can result in the loss of life.

The virus or bacteria would take over your body and you'd die.. yes you are correct the better approach is to strengthen the immune system so the the virus cannot invade the body.. Example. people who have Epstein-Barr (EB) virus (mononucleosis) never get rid of it .. It is always living in their body. As long as you live a healthy lifestyle and your immune system is fine.. you will never hear from the EB virus.. Start drinking and staying out till all hours of the night.. you know burning the candle at both ends.. Presto.. you get sick again.. simple decision isn't what the better approach is.. right?

I would imagine that if your immune system did nothing then it would be because it was completely not working or overworked because of a multitude of other possible issues… virus, bacteria, toxin, fungus in your body.

If the immune system does nothing then your looking good for being a gonner!

The virus would take over your body and kill you. It wasn't too long ago that influenza killed thousands of people every year.

You seem to think that if the immune system didn't cause fever, runny nose, headache, etc. then nothing would be different and you wouldn't be sick. But the virus would still be in your body, converting your cells into virus-making factories and slowly killing you regardless of whether or not you felt any symptoms.
