My father is in extreme pain in his right foot – he has been told its a fallen arch – and having read a little about Trigeminal Neuralgia, which he had for 15 years, I think this might be causing the Neuropathic pain. it appears in his right foot as extrmely sharpe pain, burning and hypersenstive.

Could be diabetes that is not being cared for properly. Change doctors.

Lipoic acid 300-600 mg daily is used in Europe. MonaVie juice seems to help some (but not all) chronic pain conditions. Adelle Davis use high dose B vitamins (B50 to B100) in cases of neuropathy, but again with limited success. the Aspirin Alternative, Magnet Therapy, and the Miracle of MSM might be an interesting read for unusual approaches to the management of severe chronic pain sufferers.

i'm not sure that there is a cure, but possibly just ways to limit the pain. there is a great website with informational articles and a discussion forum with a doc that may help you out. use the source as direct link to site and good luck!
