When I urinated and ejaculated I had a burning feeling and I started drinking a lot of water and my urge to urinate went away and my burning while urinating went away. Is it a coincidence, or what ?

The only reason why it burned when you urinated is because you ejaculated and the semen just passed through the penal canal. I'm pretty sure you don't have an infection. The best way to hydrate your body if you dehydrated though is to drink warmer water closer to your body temperature or if you don't like that swirl the water around in your mouth to cool it off. The body loves things its own temperature.

Or just coincidence?

My mom had both chemo and radiation treatments, and they did tell her about "chemo brain" (what the first answer referred to) and boy did she have it! Not at first, but after several treatments she would start to forget things all the time. Nothing major like who we were or anything but she was constantly forgetting things I told her and where she put things and stuff like that…

MINDEN ? Webster Parish sheriff’s officials are looking into the recent deaths of two inmates incarcerated at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.

Early Wednesday, Anthony Bailey, 43, a state corrections inmate approved for a work release program, required emergency care shortly after arrival at his work location. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died despite attempts to stabilize him, Sheriff Gary Sexton said in a news release.

Robert Wells, 50, also a state corrections inmate, was found unresponsive in his BDCC dormitory Friday. Prison officials rushed him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

“I am very concerned,” Sexton said in the release. “While this could just be coincidence, I realize that having two deaths within our facility in a matter of days is uncommon and deserves great attention.”

According to BDCC’s medical staff, neither man had serious health problems or illnesses, but both reported a similar pattern of mild symptoms within 24 to 36 hours before their deaths. some of these symptoms included mild indigestion and elevated blood pressure for which they were receiving treatment and time for rest.

“It’s that kind of detail that is particularly concerning,” said Sexton.

Bailey and Wells were housed in separate dormitories and worked in separate locations. Both shared a race and age range that launched them into a high-risk category for cardiovascular illnesses, Sexton said.

However, the sheriff is examining all possibilities, including narcotics use. “We did an additional and very extensive shake-down of the entire facility today in search of drugs or any other evidence that may indicate a direct cause to their deaths,” he said. “We did find tobacco that turned up in the search of the dorms, but nothing else to significantly link to this.”

Autopsies will be conducted by forensic pathologist Dr. Frank Peretti in Little Rock, Ark. Sexton asked for a comprehensive toxicology and pathological exam of both men.

“Of course we all hate to lose anybody,” Sexton said. “I hope this is just all unusual and terrible coincidence, but if it turns out to be something we can prevent from happening to others, I want to be the first to know. My heart goes out to their families while we await more information related to their deaths. It’s a terrible thing that I hope we can get more answers on soon.”

Whilst playing a friendly game of beer darts, I was struck about 4 inches above the knee with a dart. It went all the way in.

I think I must have at least gotten a tetanus shot around five or six years ago.

I am also starting to feel a scratchy throat coming on here, could that be a symptom of infection?

tetanus shots are good for 10 years. call your doc and ask when your most recent one was just to be sure.

i think the throat thing is probably just a coincidence. it could be a symptom of some sort of infection, but you most likely didn't get it from the dart.

on a side note…no kidding beer darts. who hits a person in the KNEE? more beer, less darts eh?

I was on vacation out of state and came down with tonsillitis. I wasn't aware I was around anyone with it before I left. If I got it from someone on the plane could I become symptomatic in about 24 hours or less? Now I have a sinus infection. Is it just a coincidence or does one sometimes lead to the other?

I went to the dr today because I had thrush – I have diabetes and get it a lot, although I haven't had it for about a year – it just suddenly came on a couple of days ago really bad. the dr tested my urine while I was there and said I have a urine infection (the stick was the darkest colour showing a strongly positive result), but I've never had one before and I don't have any symptoms except feeling a bit ill – nothing specific just not quite myself which I put down to the thrush getting me down a bit.

This all started when I had Cholera and Hep B vaccinations on Tuesday but I don't know if that's a coincidence?

The problem is that if I take the antibiotics for the uti it'll make the thrush worse so I don't want to take them if I don't have a urine infection. the dr said that sometimes thrush can cause a positive result for a uti but she'd give me antibiotics anyway and when I said wouldn't that make my thrush worse she was like 'yes a lot worse' but then prescribed me them anyway!! I've never had a urine infection before and I'm really not convinced that I have one now – should I take the antibiotics anyway?? What'll happen if I do have a uti and I don't take them? I feel like either way I could be making myself worse!

Sorry about the long explanation – I really need help – I don't know what to do!! I did try to ask the dr but she wasn't very friendly and just kind of brushed me off. Thank you so much for your help!! xxx

There are a couple of things you can do to ease the thrush, both sound a bit surprising. One is that you can bathe it with roouibosh tea (you can get it from health food shops if the supermarket hasn't got any) make it like ordinary tea and bathe as much of the area as you can get to with cotton wool dipped in the cool tea.(or just rinse your mouth with it if the thrush is there) this really does help. I have also read that putting live plain yogurt on it helps too, but haven't tried it. I would advise you to take the antibiotics because a urinary infection can make you feel very ill if left untreated. As soon as the course is finished eat plenty of plain yogurt which will help to replace the beneficial gut bacteria that the antibiotics will kill off.

You will probably end up like me, I got a freak kidney infection after a slight 2 day uti.
Since you have thrush you would have been given a prescription cream to end it.
Take them together, as having a kidney infection in my opinion is MUCH worse than having a thrush infection.
