Hi there!

I'm 20 years old and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis over the summer. I guess 15-20% with colitis get rally bad arthritis and joint pain, and unfortunately i'm that 15-20%. I've been on high dosage of steroids for almost 3 months to help with the inflammation which seems to be working but Prednisone is seriously RUINING MY LIFE. My face is HUGE i've gained 20 pounds, can't sleep, night sweats, and i'm so depressed i'm actually crying right now I just need to know if i'll start feeling better after i'm off the steroids. I feel like a fat piece of crap, and no one understands. I'm a waitress and I can't work due to the joint pain so i'm so broke and I just feel so lost. I'm always SO happy but i've been a hermit lately, living in my room….my mom doesn't understand and just thinks i'm depressed even though i tell her all of the side effects that prednisone creates. has anyone gone through this? I need your stories to know i'm not alone…ANYTHING will help right now. please.

My cousin had those same symptoms Carly. she was using the prednisone for crohns, not colitis, but her face blew up and her bones and joints hurt all the time. the worse thing is the steroids didnt even help with her bleeding and diarrhea. she tried a few of those natural products too including Aloeelite and it was really expensive but it did help her. she hasnt taken it for a while cause we dont have the money but there are things out there besides the drugs. good luck

Prednisone YUK! it is the worst..I have Crohns/Colitis and have gone through exactly what you
are talking about. Wanted to eat the plaster on the wall! Blew up like a balloon my face looked
like a chip munk, But thank God I found this product on the internet someone told me about called
Aloeelite, (all natural no side effects and really works) finally after a few months I was able to get off the drugs and see the light again. No more cramping or bleeding and have stopped runnig to the
bathroom 20 times a day..So there is help don't give up. check it out. when you stop taking the Prednisone, you see the same symptoms coming back it doesn't heal anything, but the weight
goes away and your face looks normal again. the depression is from the drugs that will go away
too. Do some research on the internet beleive me you are not alone, there are millions of us out here who have gone through the same thing with this darn disease..
