I was diagnosed with a simple cysts (fluid filled sac) on my ovary and I wanted to know if anyone would tell me about their symptoms they experienced.

I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts a few years ago. the first time one burst I thought it was my appendix. When they saw it wasn't my appendix (they did a CT) they sent me for an internal ultrasound. they saw not only the cyst that burst, but others.

I had a total of 4 episodes within 2 years. Since then I've not had one burst (knock on wood lol).

As far as symptoms, it always started with what felt like a stomach cramp that about 30 in after it started it would move to the lower right side of my abdomen.

A lot of women are diagnosed but never have one actually burst. It's actually very common. hopefully that will be the case with you

Pain is in the late stages of the cancer. my friends breast cancer was found when we went for our first mammogram and seemingly she had it for a while and then needed a mastectomy and followed by radiotherapy and is now in recovery. last year my sister found a lump but no pain and breast cancer and lymph nodes removed, she is now finished her chemo and radiotherapy and in remission. Normally you find the lump long before any pain. good Luck.

As others have said, there's usually no pain with breast cancer. where there is pain, it's because the cancer is advanced.

My stage 3 tumour was painful; when I had my mastectomy some muscle had to be removed – with the result that I'm kinda concave rather than flat – and I assume it was the tumour invading the muscle that s the cause of the pain

There is usually little or no pain with breast cancer.

Mine was quite tender when I was diagnosed at stage 3.

It had been tender for as long as I had felt the lump, whch is why I hadn't worried about it.

Breast cancer is not always pain free, just pain is more commonly associated with a cyst.

When breast cancer causes pain it is usually at stage 4.
It is most often painful when it has broken through the skin, invaded the chest wall or metastasized to the bones.

Do you have a case worker assigned to your case to help you? what was your diagnosis and treatment? what tests did they do to diagnosis you? first diagnosis was suggested to be islet tumor of the endrocine and they wanted to do a distal pancreatecomy and spleenectomy right away. second diagnosis isn't in yet, but further blood tests, including the CA-19-9, and a Octreo scan is being done (yesterday and today), and a 24 hour urine test. my tumor apparently is cyst-like in an oval shape with a new moon shape that is denser and has blood fluid in it. I don't have any symptoms as yet and the size is 2 cm and round. Received a call from the medical oncologist doctor yesterday and he met with the Tumor Board and their recommendation is the distal pancreatocomy. I was diagnosised as type 2 diabetic in May 2006 and have been informed that this surgery will result in my needing to use insulin. did this happen to you, and how are you doing? thanks.

I don't wanna waste money going to the doctor. I do not have insur till next monday but I am in pain on and off. and I am on my period and have had severe cramps which is not at all normal for me

Many ovarian cysts don't cause symptoms.

Others can cause:

pressure, swelling, or pain in the abdomen

pelvic pain

dull ache in the lower back and thighs

problems passing urine completely

pain during sex

weight gain

pain during your period

abnormal bleeding

nausea or vomiting

breast tenderness

If you have these symptoms, get help right away:

pain with fever and vomiting

sudden, severe abdominal pain

faintness, dizziness, or weakness

rapid breathing

TO BE HONEST I NEVER KNEW I HAD a CYST UNTIL I WENT TO THE DOCTORS I NEVER FELT ANY TYPE OF PAIN NOR DID I HAVE ANY SYMPYOMS SO NO WAY OF TELLING….

my mother had this, but she never said anything was wrong
