i think my friends daughter has it, please answer

Autism is a massive spectrum, everything in the spectrum is interlinked.
I would suggest looking for evidence of dyslexia or dyspraxia, or maybe an obsession, a very common obsession for an autistic at around the ages of 4-9 is Thomas the tank engine (weirdly enough). you will also find that many autistics excell at what they enjoy, or excell at particular subjects, without much apparent effort.

psychiatrists spent years arguing the toss over whether i was or wasn't autistic. Eventually, (after much expenditure on the part of my parents), it was decided that i have aspergus syndrome. their decision took slightly over three years to make… your friend should probably be prepared for a wait.

Autism is usually found early in life. your friends daughter if she is autistic should have been diagnosed by now. in any matter though here is a website that will hopefully help you and your friend understand..

My cousin is 5yrs old. he didn't concentrate well in pre-nursery, which was neglected owing to minor class. 7 months ago, his teachers complained that he has a problem of concentrating in class, if he sits at the back bench. when checked with the ophthalmologist, he acquired some kinda cylindrical lens.

Recently they realized that he finds it tough to identify letters, and spell them clearly. although he is good at maths. he just cant get the alphabets right.

Otherwise, he is good at speaking, interacting with others, playing, and all kinds of activities. One thing that has been noticed since he was young, is , he acts very mature for his age, speaks back to elders, like playing with himself, and entertains himself. he doesn't necessarily require the company of other kids. though he enjoys playing with others as well. just a normal kid otherwise…

plz tell me…. are these the signs of dyslexia??

if yes….. can it be treated ??? how ???

plz tell me….

thanks in advance…

I don't know if it is dyslexia- but it sounds like there may be a developmental delay of some sort. I would suggest taking him to a doctor for a proper diagnosis. But it sounds like he is a great kid, and he is so young that if there are any delays they can be treated.

no its just all some stupid game GOD PLAYS WITH US ALL.. kids are little arent they GOD i wouldnt believe anything at all any more after watching this world for 60 yrs GOD……

If you answer yes to three or four of the questions below for each age group, it is possible that the children concerned are dyslexic to some extent.

Children ages 8 or less:
Were they late in learning to speak?

Do they still have particular difficulty with reading or spelling? does this surprise you?

Do you have the impression that in matters not connected with reading and spelling, they are alert and bright?

Do they write letters and figures the wrong way around?

When doing calculations, have they needed the help of blocks, fingers, or marks on paper for longer than others of their age? do they have unusual difficulty remembering multiplication tables?

Do they have difficulty in telling left from right?

Are they unusually clumsy? (Not all dyslexic children are clumsy.)

People with central auditory processing disorder are unable to locate where sounds are coming from and often have a warping effect when they hear something, unable to exactly pinpoint where it is coming from. this sort of disorder is quite common and one of the more recognised causes of many developmental disorders and dyslexia is one of them. Psychologists who are assessing a child may mistake central auditory processing disorder for something like attention deficit disorder – and this is because they share some symptoms and there could be a misdiagnosis. those afflicted by this will have plenty of trouble to process any sort of information that is verbal in nature and this could lead them to learning difficulties as they would find it very difficult to understand the person speaking to them.

The auditory dyslexic may hear letter or words as jumbled, and may be unable to repeat something that they just heard moments ago. Most people associate dyslexia with reading difficulties. this type of dyslexia is no different, because they cannot hear words as most people hear them, associating written words with sounds that are jumbled makes reading and writingmuch more difficult. Dysphonetic is another word used to describe someone who has auditory processing issues. As the word describes, individuals with this diagnosis have problems with phonetics.

Sometimes people with auditory neuropathy are subsequently diagnosed with diseases such as charcot marie tooth disease and friedreich’s ataxia. In these cases, auditory neuropathy may be a symptom of the more global effects these diseases rather than an isolated neuropathy of the ear-brain connection.

To ensure that the brain is effective in processing information, it is important that it has the capability to hold specific pieces of data and information and view it as a whole. it must do this by arranging the information into a particular order.

Auditory dyslexia, also known as dysphonetic dyslexia, is a disorder that affects a person’s ability to distinguish individual letter sounds within words. usually there is nothing wrong with the person’s hearing, but the brain is unable to correctly process the sounds it receives. While visual dyslexics can have trouble identifying written letters, auditory dyslexics have the same kind of problems hearing letter sounds.

Upon hearing the term “auditory processing deficit” most people think of someone who does not hear something well. They mistakenly are thinking about the person’s hearing acuity. Auditory processing is what the brain does with sound impulses once these impulses leave the ear. For some, the complicated chain of events in auditory processing presents barriers and is overlooked. this can result in false or inaccurate diagnoses. Sometimes a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is not ADD at all, but is a deficit in attention secondary to an auditory processing deficit. In other words, the auditory processing deficit causes the individual to look like he/she is not paying attention. why, you ask? Imagine you are in a bad cell phone area.

You may go through most of your life without needing an audiologist, but if you discover you’re having problems with your hearing, seeing an audiologist can change your life dramatically for the better. many people assume that if they should be seeing an audiologist, their doctor will suggest it and set up a referral.

Dyslexia is an inherited condition that makes it extremely difficult to read, write, and spell in your native language, despite at least average intelligence. more specifically, Dyslexia is a neurologically-based, often familial, disorder which interferes with the acquisition and processing of language. Varying in degrees of severity, it is manifested by difficulties in receptive and expressive language, including phonological processing, in reading, writing, spelling, handwriting, and sometimes in arithmetic. Dyslexia is not the result of lack of motivation, sensory impairment, inadequate instructional or environmental opportunities, or other limiting conditions, but may occur together with these conditions. although dyslexia is lifelong, individuals with dyslexia frequently respond successfully to timely and appropriate intervention.

According to the National Institutes of Health, they describe dyslexia symptoms below: Classroom teachers may not be able to determine if a child has dyslexia. they may detect early signs that suggest further assessment by a psychologist or other health professional in order to actually diagnose the disorder. Letter and number reversals are the most common warning sign. such reversals are fairly common up to the age of 7 or 8 and usually diminish by that time. if they do not, it may be appropriate to test for dyslexia or other learning problems. Difficulty copying from the board or a book can also suggest problems. there may be a general disorganization of written work. A child may not be able to remember content, even if it involves a favorite video or storybook. Problems with spatial relationships can extend beyond the classroom and be observed on the playground. The child may appear to be uncoordinated and have difficulty with organized sports or games. Difficulty with left and right is common, and often dominance for either hand has not been established. In the early grades, music and dance are often used to enhance academic learning. Children with dyslexia can have difficulty moving to the rhythm of the music. Auditory problems in dyslexia encompass a variety of functions. Commonly, a child may have difficulty remembering or understanding what he hears. Recalling sequences of things or more than one command at a time can be difficult. parts of words or parts of whole sentences may be missed, and words can come out sounding funny. The wrong word or a similar word may be used instead. Children struggling with this problem may know what they want to say but have trouble finding the actual words to express their thoughts. many subtle signs can be observed in children with dyslexia. Children may become withdrawn and appear to be depressed. they may begin to act out, drawing attention away from their learning difficulty. Problems with self-esteem can arise, and peer and sibling interactions can become strained. These children may lose their interest in school-related activities and appear to be unmotivated or lazy. The emotional symptoms and signs are just as important as the academic and require equal attention.

The most important thing you can do for yourself (if you have Dyslexia) or for your child is to have compassion and understanding. then and only then can you treat dyslexia by doing the following:

Talk with your pediatrician about Dyslexia

Help you child feel “okay” with himself and understand that dyslexia was out of her or his control

Dyslexia treatment includes finding a good dyslexia tutor.
