<p>I have believed my child to be dyslexic &#102;&#111;&#114; &#097;&#114;&#111;&#117;&#110;&#100; 4 years,&#104;&#101; &#105;&#115; &#110;&#111;&#119; 10.&#104;&#101; had &#097;&#110; assessment &#114;&#101;&#099;&#101;&#110;&#116;&#108;&#121; &#097;&#110;&#100; &#116;&#111;&#108;&#100; me &#104;&#101; used overlay sheets that made &#116;&#104;&#101; reading &#115;&#111; much easier.&#104;&#101; also &#116;&#111;&#108;&#100; me that letters like e,a,o,p etc were blacked &#111;&#117;&#116; in &#116;&#104;&#101; white areas of &#116;&#104;&#101; letter.I have &#110;&#101;&#118;&#101;&#114; heard of anything like &#116;&#104;&#105;&#115; before &#097;&#110;&#100; wondered &#105;&#102; &#097;&#110;&#121;&#111;&#110;&#101; knows &#105;&#102; it &#105;&#115; connected to dyslexia.</p>
<p>Can &#111;&#110;&#108;&#121; &#115;&#097;&#121; that I &#100;&#105;&#100; a year &#097;&#116; college in my 50s. &#109;&#111;&#115;&#116; fellow students were aboout my age, &#097;&#110;&#100; a lot of them had been dismissed as backward &#097;&#116; school, &#097;&#110;&#100; condemned to really boring jobs, because of undiagnosed dyslexia, etc.<br /> I&#039;m glad to hear that whatever problem your son&#039;s got, it&#039;s &#098;&#101;&#105;&#110;&#103; addressed, &#119;&#105;&#108;&#108; &#113;&#117;&#105;&#116;&#101; &#108;&#105;&#107;&#101;&#108;&#121; be overcome &#097;&#116; &#116;&#104;&#105;&#115; stage, &#097;&#110;&#100; &#8211; &#109;&#111;&#115;&#116; importantly &#8211; his self-confidence won&#039;t be damaged by &#098;&#101;&#105;&#110;&#103; called &#108;&#097;&#122;&#121; or thick!</p>
<p>dyslexia &#105;&#115; &#117;&#115;&#117;&#097;&#108;&#108;&#121; mixing &#117;&#112; d&#039;s &#097;&#110;&#100; b&#039;s writing &#116;&#104;&#105;&#110;&#103;&#115; &#098;&#097;&#099;&#107;&#119;&#097;&#114;&#100;&#115; &#097;&#110;&#100; &#102;&#105;&#110;&#100; &#116;&#104;&#105;&#110;&#103;&#115; harder to learn , that&#039;s &#119;&#104;&#097;&#116; my friend &#119;&#105;&#116;&#104; dylexia &#100;&#111;&#101;&#115; , &#111;&#110;&#108;&#121; noticed when &#115;&#104;&#101; &#119;&#101;&#110;&#116; college<br /> when &#115;&#104;&#101; wrote essays .<br /> you &#110;&#101;&#101;&#100; to bring &#104;&#105;&#109; to a therapist (speech/learning) &#097;&#110;&#100; see &#105;&#102; it &#105;&#115; that &#111;&#116;&#104;&#101;&#114;&#119;&#105;&#115;&#101; &#104;&#101; &#099;&#111;&#117;&#108;&#100; be colour blind i know <br /> an adult &#119;&#105;&#116;&#104; &#116;&#104;&#105;&#115; &#097;&#110;&#100; &#100;&#105;&#102;&#102;&#101;&#114;&#101;&#110;&#116; &#116;&#104;&#105;&#110;&#103;&#115; &#097;&#114;&#101; harder to read depending &#111;&#110; &#116;&#104;&#101; colour of &#116;&#104;&#101; page etc &#097;&#110;&#100; &#113;&#117;&#105;&#116;&#101; a &#102;&#101;&#119; people have it but its easy to live &#119;&#105;&#116;&#104; it when its picked &#117;&#112; &#097;&#116; &#097;&#110; early stage</p>

<p>Its &#112;&#111;&#115;&#115;&#105;&#098;&#108;&#101;. &#119;&#104;&#097;&#116; &#100;&#105;&#100; &#116;&#104;&#101; guy that do &#116;&#104;&#101; assessment &#115;&#097;&#121; ? I didn&#039;t get assessed till i was 14 was a bit difficult &#116;&#104;&#101;&#110;.. Look &#102;&#111;&#114; ADDHD too AD 70% of dyslexics have it as well</p>
<p>Don&#039;t &#121;&#111;&#117; &#116;&#104;&#105;&#110;&#107; it&#039;s a buit cruel that &quot;dyslexia&quot; &#105;&#115; &#115;&#111; hard to spell?</p></p>
