My daughter loves reading and has very good memory. But she often confuses 6 and 9, might read 23 as 32, and might spell "BIG" as "G-I-B." Is this normal for children of her age or is she showing early symptoms of dyslexia?

this is very normal for a 2 1/2 year old. most children this age don't even know all or any letters. I would use flash cards and start slow when teaching the letters. Start with one letter at a time and see if she can receptively understand them.

Example =

Put out the letter a and say give me a. when she picks it up say "a, good giving me A"

When she does this 3 times, then use the letter "B" and repeat above.

then you can use a & B and ask for them one at a time changing the location of them to make sure she knows them no matter what place they are at.

take her to the dr and have a test done, their really easy and simple or could even do on online.
its really great you noticed this early i was in college *18 years old* when people noticed i had dyslexia i went through school with no help from my teachers and them telling me i am stupid

a 2.5 year old shouldn't be reading at all–she is advanced if anything…even kids taht do recognize numbers–usually cna't go beyond 10–some can't even name all teh letters

these reversals are normal through age 6

Well if your daughter is only 2 and a half and she can spell it shows she is very intelligent if you are still worried go to your doctor.
