It depends on size and your symptoms. UF's feed off of hormones, so you could get meds to block hormone production, it could help shrink them. Doctor's usually recommend surgery only if your UF's are causing heavy bleeding or if you find sex painful. Surgery is usually the last option, especially if you don't already have kids.
