Successfully used Takara detox foot patches to treat horrible TMJ pain. Nothing else helped for YEARS, including Dr's, drugs, etc. I put the patches straight on my face and the back of my neck and they have cured my TMJ pain. Question by Username: what do you do if you have dyslexia?I know “the internet” isn’t a doctor and neither am I, but I realize that I fit all of the symptoms for someone with dyslexia when it comes to writing.

Answer by Dyslexia-consultantsDepends how old you are, and what you do . if you are at school then seek advice from your SEN dept as it can effect your exams. if you drive a taxi and never have to write anything then why let it bother you, unless you wish to try and sort some of the issues out for personal reasons.It depends on your need for accurate writing really.Often half the battle is recognisixng the problem, and in writing you i assume recognize certain traits, so you know what to look out for when correcting.

Last night I laid in bed on my stomach and felt this sudden pain in my abdomen. It was in the upper center part, a very particular place, between my ribs. I turned onto my side and it continued for a few minutes, and then it eased somewhat. Today I have been feeling a similar constant, aching pain in the same spot. I'm pretty sure that the place the pain is coming from is where my pancreas is, and I've looked up symptoms for pancreatitis. I don't seem to have any other symptoms, such as fever, but Saturday I did get very nauseus and I threw up. I believe that was due to taking a pain pill for a tooth ache, though. I don't really know what else this could be, but I'm worried about it because this type of pain doesn't feel like a normal stomach ache or flu or anything. any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I know exactly how you feel. that happens to me all the time- it's probably just growing pains, or maybe something you ate. I know it's abnormal, but it should pass. If it doesn't, consult a doctor. But chances are that it's nothing, and there's no reason to jump to conclusions.

Kayla, It doesn't sound like pancreatitis. With pancreatitis the pain doesn't really go away without medicine and you will vomit alot. What did you eat prior? Was it fatty or greasy? Gallbladder may be a better answer. has your gb been removed?

My period is due. I have no pregnancy symptoms and no period symptoms. I ALWAYS have really bad period symptoms. This is weird. I should be having extremely sore breast and cramps by now. I should of had sore breast a few days ago. I feel nothing. Sore Breast is one of the symptoms of pregnancy so could I be pregnant with no symptoms? I live out in the middle of nowhere and don't want to go all the way in to town for a preg test. how many of you got pregnant and had no symptoms?

My mother did, when she had a brother of mine. She didn't even stop having her periods. The brother was born very thin, and the doctors didn't even want to tie his cord. My mother insisted, and he is in his 70's now.

Sorry if TMI, but apparently the one thing that changes in the majority of women is that your nipples get quite a bit darker….i thought mine had tanned through my bikini but when I asked my midwife she said it happens to a lot of women!

You can actually have no symptoms or the opposite of what you would normally consider signs.

Normal but Uncommon Ulcerative Colitis Symtpoms

For the past two weeks I have begun to notice a major uptick in the amount of sweat that comes out of me while I lay sleeping at night. This has hit me as quite strange because my ulcerative colitis symptoms are nearly gone. what I am talking about is the more typical runny bowels and bleeding and cramping. So, why would I be doing this sweating thing while everything else is quiet? It turns out that people who have inflammatory bowel diseases like ulcerative colitis often do sweat more than others at nighttime. there is not yet any scientific data that suggests the exact reason why this occurs, but this type of ulcerative colitis symptom is not held by just a few patients. I am not too worried anymore, but it sure would be nice for the night sweats to just go away. We will see if that happens once I stop the use of prednisolone steroids.

Another strange symptom of ulcerative colitis random but very painful headaches. they are also rare, but often ulcerative colitis patients who have never really had headaches before will have some very painful all day headaches out of nowhere after being diagnosed. there is always the chance that these are due to side effects from medication, but that is not always the case either. make sure to speak with your gastro doctor before you start taking pain medication for headaches, as there is a chance that they will interfere with your ulcerative colitis disease.

RESIDENTS of Mbare’s Jourburg Lines last week toasted a borehole, bringing hope that the risk of water borne diseases would be reduced.the borehole, which the Harare City Council and its partners drilled some time ago, only started operating on Tuesday, amid an outbreak of illnesses the residents feared could be cholera-related.

The residents recently sent a distress call following a spate of cases of people suffering from severe stomach pains, vomiting and diarrhoea.more than 20 families were affected raising fears that the infamous 2008 cholera outbreak had revisited the community.

“I feel very relieved,” Miriam Munyukwi (63) said.

“For me, the borehole brings memories of the safer village wells and I believe it will reduce our exposure to the diseases caused by the dirty water from the taps.

“We will now drink the borehole water and use the tap water for cooking and laundry.”

Munyukwi’s two grandchildren were among those treated for stomach pains at Mbare Polyclinic in the past two weeks.

Like most victims, the six-year-old boy and four-year-old girl complained of stomach pains and passed watery stools for days, eliminating chances of cholera which kills within hours if not treated immediately.

The Mbare cases were referred to Beatrice Road Infectious Diseases Hospital where the victims were examined.

Tests for cholera turned out negative. the disease is caused by bacteria called Vibrio Cholerae and spreads fast in unhygienic conditions. Among other symptoms, the disease presents itself with watery diarrhoea and sometimes vomiting.

It is contracted through intake of contaminated water and food.

“We suspected cholera because the water we have been getting from the taps looks dirty and is smelly,” Charity Ruka said.

“If examined with the naked eye, the water sometimes looks green in colour and stains clothes when used for laundry.

“My family resorted to buying drinking water from supermarkets long ago but not everyone in this community can afford that.”

Munyukwi said even the Aquatabs tablets given to her by a donor organisation could not adequately “purify” the water.

A substantial amount of green to greyish particles would sit at the bottom of the bucket everytime the tablets were added to the water.

Mbare residents have reason to fear a resurgence of the deadly cholera because their suburb was among those hardest hit by the 2008 outbreak that killed nearly 4 000 people countrywide.

Samuel Mapurisa, the Jourburg Lines Residents’ Committee chairperson said although they were happy about the new borehole, more needed to be done to protect residents of one of Harare’s oldest residential areas.

“We believe that the unclean environment is playing a role in all this,” Mapurisa said.

“There is a lot of uncollected rubbish lying around the suburb and we are exposed to health hazards even more in this rainy season.”

Despite the city’s weekly garbage collection, mounds of litter are found at almost every corner of this part of Mbare.

Flies could be seen buzzing around both on the rubbish piles and in water puddles forming in the potholed roads.

Mapurisa said they also suspected that the water delivery system had broken down and sewerage was leaking, leading to contamination of the water.Environmental Management Authority publicity manager Steady Kangata said poor waste management practices contribute to outbreaks of water borne diseases including cholera.

“At EMA, we urge all authorities to timeously collect refuse, clear illegal dumps and timeously repair burst sewer pipes,” Kangata said.

“Residents should also timeously report these environmental hazards to authorities so that they can be attended to urgently.

“As for Harare, it sits on its catchment area so all the industrial and domestic pollution is washed into Lake Chivero, the source of drinking water, exposing all of us to health risks.”

Although health officials allayed cholera fears, the Harare Residents Trust urged council to upgrade standards in the area to avoid a likely outbreak.

“The HRT insists that to safeguard the health of residents living under the current squalid living conditions in Jourburg Lines, relevant authorities should urgently address the issue of overcrowding, dilapidated water and sewerage reticulation infrastructure and improve service provision, especially refuse collection,” reads part of a statement by the residents’ organisation.

I was on vacation out of state and came down with tonsillitis. I wasn't aware I was around anyone with it before I left. If I got it from someone on the plane could I become symptomatic in about 24 hours or less? Now I have a sinus infection. Is it just a coincidence or does one sometimes lead to the other?

My period is due tomorrow so I haven't taken a test for fear of a false negative. I have two other children who were both conceived within two weeks off coming off the pill. again this is the first month I have stopped my pill and we did have sex on a 'fertile' day. My breasts feel very heavy and hurt if I break into a jog, and I have been exhausted for the past week and noticed that I am hungry all the time and have gone off alcohol. I felt like this with my other pregnancies but I am wondering if I am just imagining things and they are just symptoms of my period being imminent. It is due tomorrow but I had a false negative with my second pregnancy from testing before my period is due so feel I should wait until it is overdue before testing, has anyone else experienced this?

I think you should just relax and see what happens…sometimes when we "think" we are experiencing symptoms, we can affect the normal occurences of the body. just relax, take care of yourself, stay off alcohol and anything harmful, and get plenty of rest, and see what happens. good luck to you, and I hope you get the answer you are looking for!

There's a huge possibility it's PMS symptoms. but, best be safe than stressed and take a test (ok, that wasn't supposed to rhyme, it just came out that way). or just give it a week and see if your period starts.

you should just wait and see. if you haven't started your period within 2 days. you should do a test. but surely you would know after having two children already.

I've been TTC for about 11 months now with no luck.Every month just before I'm due on, I feel exhausted,my boobs are sore, I'm constantly hungry, I'm nauseous etc……yet I still come on and am not pregnant!!but if this is what you felt like for your last 2 pregnancies then I'd say it's quite possible!!

Sounds like you already know the answer since it has happened before to you. Sore breasts and being tired are symptoms of being pregnant. Testing a day before your period is due is a sound plan.

Sounds like you might well be!!! but, yeh- they could also be symptoms of your hormones rebalancing following you coming off the pill. Did you know, you are more likely to concieve twins if you come off the pill mid packet? That also gives you increased pregnancy symptoms!! good Luck

It sounds simular to your past pregnancies for sure but i think if you have come of the pill to try for a baby sometimes the mind makes you think things, like that you are pregnant when you may not be so.
I knew someone once that desperatley wanted to be pregnant and was convinced they was that they had all the signs and belly swelling but they was not ,it is called a PHANTOM PREGNANCY and is an actual medical words used.OR you could be a mommy soon, just give it a day or so then test yourself.
