Wednesday, March 30, 2011 – 3:43pm Delle Donne named to AP All-American team By Sean Greene Delaware sophomore forward Elena Delle Donne has been named to the Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American team. Delle Donne earned 3rd team honors last season, but missed 12 games this season for a variety of ailments including lyme disease symptoms. she is the only Blue Hen to ever earn an All-American nod. Elena averaged 25.3 points per game, which would have led the country had she played in 75 percent of Delaware’s games. Dawn Evans from James Madison University, Shante Evans of Hofstra University and Virginia Commonwealth University’s Courtney Hurt also were on the honorable mention list.
