I have had symptoms of a Bladder infection for 2 days now, Severe pain when i urinate, pain in right side of my back, and lower abdomen pain, also a mild fever. now when i wipe from urinating ( which is in tiny amounts) i have small blood clots, and the toilet paper is pink. I know for sure and have checked and it is not in any way menstrual. why could or what could this be?

You need to be seen, especially if you are having pain in your back. That could indicate that it's actually a kidney infection or a kidney stone. a kidney infection can turn dangerous pretty fast, so it's definitely not something you want to wait around with. Kidneys are pretty important.

Yes, you need to go to the doctor to be properly diagnosed. If you leave a simple bladder infection untreated it could go into a kidney infection, which is very painful and quite a bit more serious. Just to take a urine test…simple…fast…effective.

so i thought it was an std, but i’ve been to a clinic and got antibiotics for chlymidia and still after 4 days am having problems. the pain comes all the way from my prostate too. and it feels like my prostate randomly aches thruout the day. and theres pain when i have a bowl movement.

i don’t show any other symptoms for an std, no discharge or swelling. and no other symptoms for a kidney infection.

i don’t have insurance so getting to a doctor is gonna be hard.

Just go to a walk in clinic not sure where u are but here doctors are free, so not sure , never heard of having to pay to see a dr, the med u got prob is not working and u just need something stronger, keep taking it till u see dr, and then get a higher dose, and also goggle the std u have and read about it its affects to make sure the sickness u are having are from that.

You need to see a doctor right away. if it is a kidney infection you may need antibiotics to cure the problem. Don't wait but schedule time to see a doctor first thing in the morning.

You may have blood in your urine also. the only way I know medically is to use an antibiotic. I have never heard of holistic remedies that has worked. Get it checked out. You don't want to take a chance and hurt your kidneys.

Sounds like u do have a kidney infection. After u urinate does it sting? You can call your dr and get meds called in like bactrim. You can also drink alot of cranberry juice, cran-grape or cran-apple and eat yogurt. good luck!

Kidney infections (pyelonephritis) are serious as they can cause damage if not treated. the "typical" symptoms are fever, back pain, nausea, vomiting, pain or burning with urination, foul smelling or cloudy urine. You don't need to have all of these. go to a doctor for an exam and urinalysis which can detect infection. Pyelonephritis is treated with antibiotics and depending how sick the patient is hospitalization.

you should see your physician if you have increased your water consumption and tried cranberry juice (?) and your urine is still not clear. if it is an infection you will need an antibiotic. It could be something else though(basing this on the way you describe the odor of your urine-ammonia isn't exactly what the typical odor for a UTI) so definitely see your doctor.

i suggest you should read more about kidney infection on health websites. Kidney infection is a serious health issue. best is that you see a doctor. Are you diabetic or family history has diabete? Diabete makes kidney infection even worse, even if you are not diabetic but if your family history has diabete — You are safer to see a doctor.

if you have a kidney infection, you usually feel pain in your sides (where your kidneys are) while peeing. i don't think think you have to have a symptom of uti (bladder infection) first because that's just where you get some bacteria in the urethra, but i may be wrong. what you do is you go to the doctor and they get you to pee in a cup and they test it for a kidney infection. i would go see the doctor if you've had symptoms for over a week. here's a great website; the one i used when i was afraid i had one, lol

Yes, you can definitely get a kidney infection without getting a UTI first. did you have strep throat in the last month? Pyelonephritis is a kidney infection that usually follows a strep infection. You can still get it without getting strep though. You usually run a high fever with a kidney infection and generally feel very unwell in addition to the flank pain, but you should see a doctor anyway. Kidney infections can be dangerous and cause permanent kidney damage if left untreated (usually by antibiotics).

I went to the doctors on Wednesday and he said I should be over it by the weekend but I still feel bad, although my back pains and kidney pains have gone. Pain in or right under your ribs is usually where you feel the pain at with kidney problems. I know I have had 3 kidney infections, and one kidney stone. go to the doctor cause it just could be a kidney infection if left untreated can kill you.

Kidney stones have symptoms of sever colicky pain, restlessness, painful/burning in micturation. usually pain is unbearable and come in episodes.
It is possible ot have stone at age of 17. keep yourself well hydrated. You should drink more of clear water if you think you had stone. Stones less then 5 mm usually pass by themself and may releive symptoms.
You shoud see physician if you are in acute pain or have multiple episodes.
There are several metabolic and hematologic conditions that can precipitate different kind of stones. You should see physician for further workup and education.

I have suffered from Kidney stones since I was about 15, but I wasn't diagnosed until I was 23. MY symptoms were extreme pain in my lower back, nausea, and feeling like I had a UTI (it burned when I urinated, but it was actually small pieces of stone passing through).

It is defintely possible to have kidney stones at your age. my body produces calcium based ones for no apparent reason. if you go to the doctor, ask for an ultrasound of your kidneys. They can determine whether or not you have stones this way.

There is a surgery called a lithotripsy, which I had two years ago. They basically blast all of the stones into dust with sonic waves. if you do have stones, I would HIGHLY reccomend this surgery, as I have not had an attack since the surgery in 2005.

If you had a kidney stone you would not be sitting using a computer, you would be on the floor in agony, sounds more like an infection, see your doctor.

back pain, then it moves to the side then low abdominal ( same side) until the stone(s) reach the bladder.it may take few days. Urinating may be painful. Drink lots, lots of water. Stop drinking soda, diet soda, avoid salty food.
