I'm 14 and I doubt I have autism but lately I've been shaking my hands in front of me. since forever, I cannot whatsoever stand clutter. I'd just like to know the symptoms for autism. thanks everyone.

haha, I highly doubt you're autistic! Many people display characteristics that can be attributed to those with autism, however, I'm pretty sure someone would have noticed if you were by now. There are many diagnostic criteria that you must meet before being diagnosed, anyway. like toe walking, poor language development, lack of understanding of social cues, sensory dysfunctions, obsessions with cars, math, etc., strict desire for routine, and the list goes on and on. However, not all autistic individuals display each one of these characteristics and each person who has autism will act in a different way. It's a spectrum disorder.

Look up OCD and then also google "Bartonella Schaller OCD" . I think this may help you.

i think my mom has dyslexia because whenever i asked her with my homework she couldnt answer me so evenuatlly i stopped asking her and tonight i asked her to help me study for my drivers ed state test and when she was reading the questions; she kept stuttering over the words and reading too fast and kept asking me wat words were like "permissible" and "merge" were. it's like that with all my homework; she cant help with math cuz she cant do simple addition & subtraction (when we go to the bank or adds something she'll get her caculator instead of adding it in her head) or she cant help with english because she doesnt understand it and she cant spell the simplest words like "because" or "holding" & she doesnt know how to use the correct tense of words like run and ran…she'll say "runned"

could she be dyslexic?

It is entirely possibly your mother has dyslexia, and if not picked up as a child she would have slipped through the education system.

My mother could not read or write, she learnt to read around 40. It turns out she had dyslexia, as does my daughter and I. My daughter and I also have dyscalculia (maths) and my daughter has dysgraphia (writing). I was 14 when I learnt to read, and I was teased fairly badly because of it.

My poor mother was embarrassed (I was mortified) when I was accused of forging an absent note for school, dad made mum write a copy of the note, in front of the headmaster to prove I did not forge the note. a bit late after I had got detention. Sadly I was mad at mum for days, if she was alive today I would apologize, as I did not know she or I had dyslexia.

Your mother can learn to read if she is given the encouragement, support and patience to do so. What ever the cause please encourage her to get some help, so she is very capable of learning to read, what ever her age.

If she has a miracle cure and starts having a lot of fun , then she has a reading problem that is not dyslexia. Not likely, but worth a shot, and you will have to hog-tie her to get her to do it!
does she read aloud? This is a tell-tale symptom of dyslexia.

someone told me that I might have multiple sclerosis and to look it up online, and I did look it up, but all I could find had a ton of medical terms that I don't understand. so please, explain the symptoms in simple terms.

The symptoms can vary from person to person, sometimes the symptoms come and go, sometimes they stick around forever. they can be anything from your legs not working correctly, to not being able to see right for a while. My mom has it and she once had half her face become paralyzed for no reason. It eventually came back but it is very unpredictable. she also can have problems with simple math that anybody knows. she will try to add 5 cents to 10 cents and she knows she should know the answer but can't get it. You should definitely see a doctor.

2 yrs ago, i was getting "unusual" headaches…migraines that would last 24-7 for 2 months. I was sent to a neurologist,and she sent me for an mri to look for brain tumors. I had brain legions…no brain tumors. brain legions are tell-tale signs of ms.
my other symptoms are;
indescribable fatigue
body pain (i describe it as if my skeleton is about to break, kinda pain!)
memory lapses
word searching
forgetfulness
clumsiness/off balance
depression
sensitivity to heat and cold

every one experiences these syptoms or more…sometimes none at all.
your nuerologist is the one who can fully diagnose you for ms.

A "P.S." to the above great answers – only an MRI can determine if you have MS. Have your MD refer you to a Neurologist to be sure. I was diagnosed two years ago and have just started on daily injections of Copaxzone – a promising drug designed to stop new lesions from forming and rebuilding myelin (this is like insulation on a wire – this is what deteriorates, causing a myriad of symptoms). My symptoms were weird nerve pains in my hands, legs/feet and terrible fatigue. I was falling asleep at work!

Everyone has a different experience with MS. there is a very, very wide range of symptoms of varying intensities and every one of the symptoms are indicative of other diseases and conditions which makes self diagnosis close to impossible. most people with MS get tingling and numbness in some part of the body. About 50% of us experience problems with our sight which may or may not include total blindness. other symptoms include, but are not limited to incontinence, constipation, impaired walking ability, difficulty with speech, difficulty swallowing, pain, impaired memory, loss of cognitive (thinking) abilities, muscle cramps and balance problems. the list goes on and on because MS involves destruction of the protective covering on the nerves. so what symptoms a person with multiple sclerosis experiences all depends on what part of the body is attacked. the disease is not fatal. most people have the type of MS in which the symptoms come and go. Someone with MS may be incapable of walking one week and then regain that ability a few weeks or months later. or they can go blind in one eye and then regain their sight over time. the same with all the other symptoms.

You want to shave WHERE?Cesareans are not simple procedures. They are MAJOR ABDOMINAL SURGERIES. with c-sections on the rise in the US, I was determined during my pregnancy not to be a statistic. I did natural childbirth with my first son and although I had placenta abruptia, I still delivered vaginally. I assumed I’d be fine with my second. Boy was I wrong! Caesarean! Not in the plan!

But when faced with pregnancy complications, what choice do women have? there are reasons for them: multiple births, complications (like abruptia!), maternal infection (had that, too), health concerns for mother or baby, abnormal birth positions (sounds familiar). the World Health Organization recommends no more than a 15 percent c-section rate. in the US? it was estimated to be 32 percent in 2007. THIRTY. TWO. That’s one-third, for those of you not good at math.

When I labored with #2, I was two weeks overdue and began having symptoms of abruptia. again. and then I was septic. Then they couldn’t find the baby’s heartbeat. and on top of that fact he turned and was presenting shoulder first. Lucky me! That’s when they decided to do a c-section. Immediately or sooner. through my fever-induced delirium I thought, “C-section? Me? NO. I’m doing it naturally! no drugs! It’ll be fun!” Yeah, about that.

I had to have a cesarean. As in, NECESSARY. They called up the anesthesiologist and I got a very quick epidural (and now I know what heaven feels like. I’d still do natural all over again, though). Then, a nurse who apparently never shaved her carpet got a disposable razor out and hacked away at the hair to make room for the incision (Note: If you KNOW you are having a C? Do this yourself ahead of time. TRUST ME ON THIS). this itches like a MOFO later when it grows in.

Then they had me drink antacid so you don’t puke during the cesarean. except it made me puke immediately. SCORE! after I was “prepped” they took me to the OR across the hall and hooked me up to machines. All the while they told me NOT TO PUSH. Now, I was there for natural childbirth and had been laboring for hours and was fully dilated. Not pushing is kinda hard at that point.

When they got me situated on the table they let my husband come in. at least, I think it was him. Hard to tell, with the gown and mask and whatnot. first, they make an incision the lower abdomen, pull out your uterus (I think that’s what it was), and open it up to take out your baby. Sort of. Mine was kinda down in the canal a bit and they had to go in the other end (as in, through my vagina) and push him back in. that was fun. By the way, it kinda looks like spaghetti. For the record, I wasn’t supposed to be watching, but they didn’t realize I could see the reflection of everything they were doing on the baby warmer (until I opened my mouth and said, “Hey! I can see what you’re doing!” Then they moved it. Joy killers).

When they pulled the baby out, it was really anticlimactic for me. it was almost right out of Monty Python’s Meaning of Life, complete with the machine that says, “BING.” They showed me baby over the drape and took him to the nursery while I was stitched up (I had dermabond and steri strips. Much easier healing!). I couldn’t even hold him, my arms were strapped down with IVs. that sucked a little. OK, it sucked a lot.

Once in Recovery, I got to see my little man. Or not-so-little man, as he was eight pounds fifteen ounces AFTER the first bowel movement. When I got to our room, I could nurse and have privacy. They got me right up to start walking around and I could eat almost immediately. I stayed for seven days, due to the hemorrhaging, but most women I know stay three after the big C. THREE DAYS. after major abdominal surgery. I never ended up taking the narcotic pain killers they prescribed because I didn’t like the idea of baby being drugged along with me and also because I wasn’t coherent enough to take care of my kids. the pain? Not so bad, but I have a high tolerance (remember, I’m one of those wackadoos that does natural childbirth).

The hardest part? Not resuming normal activity for a few weeks. you know, because of the MAJOR ABDOMINAL SURGERY. Cleaning up the dog stuff in the yard a week later? NOT ALLOWED.

Honestly? it wasn’t the worst experience of my life (except for the hospital food) and the end result was a healthy baby, which is more important than how he got here. in my case, it was necessary.  But my own opinion (and some will, no doubt, disagree with me) is that no one should have a cesarean unless there is an underlying medical condition or a complication that warrants one. They aren’t easy. They aren’t hard, either. But they aren’t fun. and c-sections are not convenient. I can’t figure out why for the life of me any one would CHOOSE to have one, if it wasn’t needed.

This was just my experience. your mileage might vary. my advice? Read up on all options long before you are due. make sure you know the risks involved in having a cesarean. Regardless of your decision, realize it is yours to make, between you and your practitioner.
