Rocky Mountain spotted fever

200 to 400 Oklahoma cases yearly. Transmitted by American dog tick. Symptoms: fever, muscle pain, headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain within three to 14 days after a tick bite. a fine, bumpy, red rash on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet may occur or spread to other parts of the body, but not always.

About 100 Oklahoma cases yearly. Transmitted by the Lone Star tick. Symptoms: fever, headache, chills, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and muscle pain. about 20 percent of patients develop a rash. Risk greater for people over 50, or those with compromised immune systems.

Twenty or fewer Oklahoma cases yearly. Commonly called rabbit fever and transmitted by dog or Lone Star ticks or handling infected wild animals, especially rabbits. Symptoms: high fever, chills, fatigue, general body aches, headache, and nausea within one to 14 days. also may include skin ulcers, swollen lymph nodes, eye infections, severe sore throat, intestinal problems and lung infection.

Few Oklahoma cases yearly. Transmitted by black-legged tick. Symptoms: circular or “bull’s-eye” red rash around or near the bite, fever, headache, fatigue, muscle pain, joint pain, swollen lymph nodes three to 30 days after the tick bite. More severe symptoms of swelling and pain in large joints, painful arthritis, central nervous system and heart abnormalities can appear years later.

If children or adults are outside, check the scalp, base of the neck, armpits, groin area and behind the knees for ticks every couple of hours. a tick generally has to be attached for a couple hours to secrete saliva and transmit disease. Remove ticks safely with tweezers, forceps or by covering the fingers with tissue and pulling the tick straight back. Spray skin and clothing with a tick repellent that includes DEET.

I have pain in my tailbone and around it, it hurts only in the morning when sat on, or later in day if I flex my but muscles, I went to the doctor and he felt it and there is nothing not a bump or anything, he thinks it is weight or how tall I am and it is pressure on my tail bone I am 6,1 and 15, I weigh 245, does it sound like I have cancer? my mom and grandpa have degenerative spine problem, and my cousin John has to go to a Chiropracter, sorry for spelling.

Bone pain or muscle pain usually isn't a sign of cancer. Maybe, and I mean maybe, nerve damage, but it's most likely a torn ligament.

P.S. You don't feel for colon cancer. Doctors check it from your stool sample.

I got a Tetanus shot about 20 hours ago and the side effects are kicking in. Some of the side effects from the Tetanus shot can be: fatigue, muscle pain, nausea, and headaches, all of which I already have due to having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, so I'm feeling pretty lame right now as the symptoms I have from CFS are being doubled because of the Tetanus. Is there anything I can do to decrease the symptoms as I can't sleep?

Vitamin C – Cure Colds to Cancer

Vitamin C from citrus was introduced a couple of centuries ago as a cure for scurvy rampant among British mariners. but just what is scurvy? Scurvy is actually defined as a deficiency of vitamin C. Its myriad manifestations appear today. It appears that scurvy was not a particular disease, but a condition that led to other diseases.

The difference today is there are many other new names assigned to diseases that are often related to scurvy. This benefits big Pharma`s bottom line for creating new expensive pharmaceuticals. It`s no surprise that inexpensive Vitamin C`s ability to safely cure maladies from colds to cancer is marginalized by the Medical Mafia.

Some Scurvy Symptoms

Some of the many scurvy symptoms include: Exhaustion, lethargy, sunken eyes, pale complexion, anemia, depression, and weakness. The afflicted person may experience joint and muscle pain, headaches, and nausea as well as fainting or dizziness.

Lung and kidney disease may result from scurvy conditions. Bruising occurs easily, and wounds heal slowly. Internal tissues may bleed as capillaries weaken. Ultimately, jaundice and water retention may occur with decreased urination.

According to orthomolecular physician Ronald Hunninghake, MD, cancer victims are vitamin C deficient. in other words, they have scurvy. he has worked with orthomolecular cancer pioneer Dr. Hugh Riordan, MD, for over two decades. their work has been a continuation of Dr. Linus Pauling`s insights into vitamin C for preventing and curing infectious diseases and cancer.

Success with cancer patients using Dr. Riordan`s protocol is not widely publicized. These and other orthomolecular physicians, who rely solely on vitamin and mineral supplementation for curing patients, want to avoid the flack from the medical establishment that exploded around Linus Pauling`s vitamin C revelations years ago.

Besides claiming that vitamin C could cure cancer, Linus Pauling also ruffled the cancer industry`s feathers when he publicly proclaimed that “the war on cancer is largely a fraud”. as the saying goes, you don`t draw flack until you`re over the target!

So perhaps Dr. Hunninghake is a bit guarded when he says mega-dosing vitamin C is a great adjunct for other cancer therapies. Cancer has been cured with mostly IV mega-dose vitamin C therapy during recent decades. instead, Hunninghake cites the fact that cancer patients are relieved of their scurvy from IV mega-dose vitamin C, thus allowing them to feel better and endure the side effects of conventional cancer protocols.

Despite Hunninhake`s protective diplomacy, Dr. Riordon has demonstrated that Vitamin C in large doses is selectively cytotoxic to cancer cells. When the dosage is high enough, vitamin C shifts from anti-oxidant to oxidant. normally anaerobic cancer cells perish when exposed to oxygen.

Though largely ignored by mainstream medicine`s blind allegiance to big Pharma, Vitamin C mega-dosing has proven extremely effective against many infectious diseases. Pathogens are also anaerobic.

The signs and symptoms of prostatitis vary, depending on the cause of the inflammation. Symptoms of prostatitis are nonspecific and have been known to mimic other urologic and nonurologic diseases. One might experience no symptoms or symptoms so sudden and severe that they cause one to seek immediate emergency medical care. Prostatitis symptoms include: fever, chills, urinary frequency, frequent urination at night, difficulty urinating, burning or painful urination, perineal (inflammation in the area between the scrotum and the anus) and low-back pain, joint or muscle pain, tender or swollen prostate, blood in the urine, and painful ejaculation.

Symptoms of prostatitis, in fact, resemble those of other infections or prostate diseases. Therefore, even if Prostatitis Symptoms disappear, one should have their prostate checked immediately. There are condition connections between the urethra, the bladder, and the prostate that affect one or the other organ and have similar or overlapping symptoms. Moreover, these conditions may occur concurrently in the same patient complicating diagnosis and treatment.

Acute bacterial prostatitis is the least common of the four types. it is also the easiest to diagnose and treat effectively. the man with this disease often experiences chills, fever, pain in the lower back and genital area, body aches, burning or painful urination, and the frequent and urgent need to urinate, often at night. the urinary tract is infected, as is evidenced by white blood cells and bacteria in the urine. the treatment of acute bacterial prostatitis is with an antibiotic appropriate for the particular bacteria. sometimes nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen and naproxen, are given to relieve pain.
