I have been told, by peers, that I seem to have bipolar disorder, ADHD, schizophrenia, and multiple personality disorder. what are the symptoms for these mental problems?

I also hear little voices in my head that are constantly arguing with each other, no matter what I try to do to stop them.

I don't know if this is relevant either, but today in class I was reading a book, and a few people were staring at me. I started having a panic attack and crying. what could this be?

Peers cannot diagnose, especially if they aren't inside of your head.

If you want a proper diagnosis, talk to a psychiatrist or – better yet – therapist.
Especially if you hear voices, you'll want to seek some psychological assistance. if you don't know where to start or how to get help, start with seeing your doctor. They can recommend steps from there.

For clearer definitions, you should google each disorder individually, but:
Bipolar disorder has several types, but basically means that you go through severe mood swings. Highs and lows. I have bipolar type II, and I also have hallucinations and panic attacks without medication. but you'd also have to have severe ups and downs.
I don't know much about ADHD, but you would have trouble paying attention, and even reading a book would be difficult. you don't seem to have that.
Schizophrenia is likely, but schizophrenics have trouble expressing emotion. not many cry.

Definitely seek assistance.
This should be more than a curiousity.
If you get proper medication, you can live a relatively normal life.

Good luck<3

Bipolar disorder – Periods of mania that last at least 4 days but usually last for months, symptoms of mania include insomnia, loads of excess energy, risky behaviours, hypersexuality, increased spending, etc.

Periods of depression, symptoms of depression include feelings of hopelessness or doom, suicidal ideation, loss of intrest in activities that once help pleasure, over sleeping, increase/decrease in appetite.

ADHD – I dont know alot about but i hear its very similar to the manic phase of bipolar disorder

Schizophrnia – Hallucinations, such as hearing voices – real voices, not voices in your head but voices that you cannot tell arent real if you had your eyes closed.

Delusions – false ideas, so believing people are out to get you or that you know someone famous etc.

there are several other symptoms of schizophrenia that mimic those of depression.

Multiple personality disorder,, also known as DID – sufferfer is usually unaware of other personalities, will have periods of blank memory, must have suffered repeat, severe trauma to develop DID.

I cannot stress how HIGHLY unlikely it is you have all these disorders although you may well have one, or somethign else you havnt even considered like schizoaffective disorder. However the only person how will ever be able to tell you for sure is a psychiatrist – go and see one if you are worried, best of luck!

Look it up in a DSM.
I am no doctor, I'm just a teen who's kind of obsessed with psychology. To me, it sounds like you COULD have Schitzoaffective Disorder. It's a mix of a mood disorder (bipolar) and a psychotic disorder (schitzophernia). Multiple personality disorder, I'm not too sure, but I don't think that's an actual condition. It's a symptom, usually of schitzophernia.

I like Ben S's suggestions. In addition, there are lots of products out there that have been effective against anxiety and panic attacks, incuding Native Remedies Triple Complex never Tonic and Mindsoothe.

I use Valerian, used in Kalms tablets available in most chemists, Natracalm tablets I find better but they're not sold in most chemists.

My boyfriend had his tetanus shot on thursday, and today (saturday) he had difficulty breathing. he said it was painful and it lasted for quite a while. after we ate dinner and walked around for a bit he felt better, and feels fine now. I'm just wondering if that was connected to the tetanus shot, because difficulty breathing is a sign you need to see the doctor. Is 2 days later still in the time period you need to be monitoring symptoms of a tetanus vaccine?

Sounds to me like someones looking for symphony, a tetanus shot shouldn't have any ill affects. I've given about a hundred thousand of these without ill effects, did the Symphony thing work, if it did, he won.

mainly symptoms like pain in veins could appear within 3 months after that its not related reading from ur mail you both are too worried and its most likely ur bf suffered a panic attack. If the real problem is his breathing it would ve had stopped by now symptoms related to the shot wont clear up they only become worse so dont worry .

Whenever I try to commit to being proactive, it always puts me in such an agitated state of being. The muscles in my shoulder tense up, instead of breathing normally I hold it in and sigh a lot, and I get really bad heartburn. I wind up feeling nervous in social interactions and my sense of fun and humor disappears. this seems to last until I give up on however it was I decided to be proactive.

Example #1: my current job doesn't pay very well, so earlier this I resolved to apply to better jobs and force my self do so on a regular basis. but after browsing some ads, the nervous symptoms appeared and kept getting worse, even after I quit and did something else. The next day at work they got so bad it almost felt like a panic attack, so I just gave up.

Example #2: Earlier today I wrote up a list of things I've been meaning to do. (#1. Do laundry. #2 Apply to some jobs. # fill out some medical paperwork. Etc.) At first I felt good and excited, but then the nervousness set in.

you need a drink to realax.

Maybe see a life coach or something. Medication?

maybe it's because u think about everyting u have to do all at the same time or one anxious thought after another. try doing one thing at a time and taking it one day at a time and set a reasonable time frame for yourself. and if u dont get the task done in time, dont beat yourself up because then you'll only focus on your failure. Instead, focus on your next goal one day at a time because tomorrow is not promised and no a drink would not help, it would just cloud your judgment.

Detrow was having a heart attack that November day in 2009, but she didn’t know it.

As it turns out, neither did the emergency room doctors at a nearby hospital. upon seeing that she was an avid exerciser with no heart problems, they diagnosed a panic attack and sent her off with anti-anxiety pills and medication to lower her blood pressure, which had increased that day.

Detrow, 58, is a poster girl for a campaign launched this week to raise women’s awareness that atypical symptoms, such as profound fatigue, unfamiliar dizziness, cold sweats and unexplained nausea or vomiting, can signal that part of their heart muscle is dying, and they could die, too.

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women. An American woman suffers a heart attack every minute. Yet after years of public education programs, the message hasn’t penetrated.

When Detrow returned home to Washington, D.C., her internist sent her to a cardiologist, where, three days later, the symptoms returned. she underwent an angiogram that showed she’d had a heart attack but did not have blocked arteries. Doctors prescribed a daily aspirin, the powerful blood pressure drugs valsartan and metoprolol, and a low-salt diet. they told her that after some rest followed by cardiac rehabilitation, “I would be fine, and that’s what happened.”

Today, the former member of the new York Road Runners Club again enjoys 5K and 10K races. she notes the irony of having a heart attack when when her husband was the one with heart disease.

“My husband has been on blood pressure medications for umpteen years. when everyone heard about my heart attack, they asked ‘why you and not him?’”

Although there are several different anxiety disorders, one of the most common is obsessive compulsive disorder or OCD. People with OCD can find their lives are revolving around obsessions and compulsions. They struggle with thoughts that they find are very difficult to stop and compulsions that have become habits that they feel they just have to perform. the time that most sufferers use the obsessions and compulsions is when they feel their anxiety is high and they may be going to have a panic attack. this is the way many anxiety sufferers cope with their condition.
Almost as common as OCD is an anxiety disorder which we know as social anxiety disorder. Although at first glance this disorder might be mistaken for shyness, it is something completely different. whereas shyness is perfectly normal and really does not stop a person from living a fairly normal life, social anxiety on the other hand is a debilitating mental disorder. Many sufferers find it almost impossible to attend any kind of social gathering and some have even been known to become house-bound such is the fear of meeting people. this unfortunately means a much lower quality of life for any person who suffers from social anxiety.

More and more people these days are struggling with health anxiety. this is an anxiety disorder that is better known by it’s more common name of hypochondria. Health anxiety is a condition that leads the sufferer to believe that the most minor of ailments are actually really serious illnesses. So even the slightest twinge can lead them to imagine the most terrible things. this leads many people to research their symptoms and spend time doing a self diagnosis. all this research on the internet leads them to become more and more anxious, sometimes even convincing themselves they have a life threatening condition. this habit which only leads to increased fear and anxiety is known as cyberchondria.

Agoraphobia is also a common anxiety disorder, although many people fail to realise this. Another misconception about agoraphobia is that it’s simply a fear of leaving your home, but that’s not the case. Agoraphobia would be much better described as the fear of something unpleasant happening when you’re in a place where it would be hard to deal with. In fact, most people with agoraphobia do not fear leaving their home. Instead, they fear that they will have a panic attack whilst out in public, and the embarrassment that an attack in public would cause is what prevents someone with agoraphobia from going out.
