Your girl friend probably has a low grade lesion. the virus causing abnormal cervical cell changes seen in her Pap test. low risk HPV types are generally associated with actual external visual warts of the genital area.

If your girl friend received the vaccine after she had engaged in sex then the vaccine may not have prevented the 4 HPV types it is said to prevent. they are 40 genital HPV types so the vaccine does not prevent all genital high and low risk HPV types.

If you are worried, you want to get checked out. It can appear with or without any family history of cancer(I know). It can also appear without any symptoms. But mine were heavy periods that would not stop for weeks. And please if any one does have cervical cancer, do not allow your doctor to do only a cervical ablation(burning the cervix to remove the cancer). Some cancer cells may still be left behind, but now they will be covered by the skin that was burned and it will not show up on a pap test.

Many times thesymptoms are mistaken for an abnormal period.

We can be proactive. Get a yearly pap and an HPV test.

uhh you will not show any symptoms… you do not have a pussy for it it grow in…. but you can be a carrier.. it gets in the blood…. and it does not really do anything to men… but for women it can cause cancer of the uterus…and the virus can go away on its own.. in men it usually goes away easy…

If a woman has HPV, her chances of getting cervical cancer and other similar cancer is a lot higher. also make sure she gets a pap test often. in addition, you could become infected and became a carrier infecting other women in the future

Genital warts are the symptom and yes men do get them. They usually won't show up for months/years on males though… it will be a long and painful process if you ignore them once you realize that you have them All it takes is skin contact to contract it… Dermatologist will help you the most if you do break out with warts.
