had sex with this girl, was kinda rough, the condom broke at some point towards the end either a bit before or at the end when i came (i pulled out), got her the morning after pill just in case so not worried about that, but this morning i woke up and saw i had a small redness area on the bottom of my penis. just wondering if this is an std or if its from the "kinda rough" sex as i put it earlier.

I have a red bump on the shaft of my penis and it was there about 2 days after the contact. it is not blistery or pussing at all. just red mark. One morning I woke up and there was dry skin on top of it.

Are you for sure it was HPV that you were exposed to? Sounds like it could maybe be herpes. Think you should make a doctor appointment and have it looked at while the red mark is still there. That way they'll be able to identify exactly what it is.

Basically all of them. Chlamydia and Gonorrhea may not cause any symptoms but still can be transmitted. Syphilis has a long latent phase when it's still transmittable. Many strains of HPV don't cause any visible signs but still can lead to cancer of the cervix, anus, or penis. HIV has a long preclinical phase before it starts affecting the immune system. Herpes infections can occur without any symptoms, or you may have an outbreak followed by no more symptoms for years if ever. Scabies and pubic lice are about the only ones with consistent symptoms.

Point is, if you've been sexually active, you owe it to yourself and your partner(s) to get tested regularly.

Chlamydia- up to 25% of infected men may have no symptoms.
Approximately 70% of women will not have symptoms due to chlamydia
Trichmoniasis- the infection usually does not cause symptoms in men and goes away on its own in a few weeks.

Is 3-4 months too long for a guy to just now start showing symtpoms of an STD like gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, chlamydia, etc. if he contracted it months ago? like if he started getting discharge would that be because of an STD he caught months ago? cause I heard guys show symptoms very fast. Please no answers like it can take months because after being infected you'll start to have symptoms, i know from experience.

My husband has been feeling generally unwell for over a month following a urodynamics test. He had a BHP operation last year, and at that time suffered long bouts of infection. He's been on antibiotics for a month, and blood and urine tests keep coming up clear with no sign of infection though his long term ESR is raised. Doctor thinks it might be inflamed rather than infected prostate? He feels unwell pretty much all of the time, sometimes worse than at other times, but doesn't have obvious other urinary tract symptoms except for occasional sharp pains in the groin/abdomen coming down into the top part of the penis. He has frequency at night, (and also suffers from chronic back pain, spinal problems, so lower back pain may or may not be part of the prostatic problem).
Anyone any views on whether this chronic malaise is in fact prostatitis?

I was having symtoms of gonorrhea, and planned on getting a test done… my girlfriend has a doctors apt wednesday to find out on her part… i was having a penial discharge and an itchy sensation at the tip of my penis but all the symtoms have been gone for about a week now…. I guess what im trying to ask is if Gonorrhea can show symtoms and then go away? or could it be something as simple as a urinary tract infection or UTI ?

I just had an idea. when men get older, their prostate enlarges making urination difficult. Wouldn't a simple solution to this problem be to bypass the flow of urine to the prostate. Surgically connect the bladder to the penis without it having to pass through the prostate.
