The Signs of Herpes are characterized by systemic and local symptoms. some of the Systemic Symptoms of Genital Herpes are: Fever, physical discomfort, Myalgia ( or general pain) and decreased appetite.

When the virus has been transmitted through the oral or genital tissues, the breakout appears in the region where the virus was acquired. The most common areas for the breakouts are: the Glande and penis, scrotus in men; in women, the vulva, vagina and cervix are the compromised areas. Also the mouth, anus and the groin might be another place to the infection show up.

Before the outbreak of the herpes blisters, the infected person experiences more sensitivity, burning sensation or pain in the area of the skin where the blister will appear. from there, the skin turns red and many blisters can start developing, full of a transparent or yellowish fluid. Eventually, the blisters will break as a result of the contact with underwear, paper tissue, and when are broken, painful sores will dry and heal between a period of 7 to 14 days. The outbreak can have other signs as inflammation of the lymphatic nodes in the neck and groin. in women, an unusual vaginal discharge can occur and also dysuria or pain while urinating. Men might experience dysuria when the sores are close to the urethra.
