Jack Russell in Heat?

We have 8 months old jack russell that is in heat just started yesterday. She was a very playful puppy, Active and full of energy, always love play and its so rare to see her laying down cause of being tired but when she had her blood she change…
She act like not the normal her….

Now she always want to sleep, always tired and dont play much…
She dont eat the way she eat before…

Is it a normal symptoms of a dog who is in heat?

Some b*tches in heat will feel gloomy but this is normal. nothing to worry about. just make sure she is separated from any un-neutered males because she can get pregnant very easily & you don't want that to happen. the heat will go on for about 3 weeks & you can spay her a month after it's over. If she's healthy & not severely underweight, then skip her meals if she does not want to eat. She won't die, don't worry.

I believe so, I had a pitbull female that went into heat every six months and she acted the very same way. It is funny because I think they experience the same symptoms we go through when we have our periods. I think they do get the cramping and mood swings lol. I think its normal expecially since it would be her first heat cycle. If your really concerned call your vet to see what they have to say, but I can ensure you that everything is okay, she is still a puppy and probably doesnt know what it is going on with her body.

I have a female German Shepard who does the same thing when she is in heat. She gets alittle moody too. She just lays around and sleeps and she doesn't eat like her normal self. Normally she eats everything she sees but when she is in heat she doesn't eat much.
