my pains are between my rib cage and they feel like fiery pricks and they have not stopped all night and morning….it feels like a basketball in my belly, does this sound like possible gall bladder?

Probably not. Sorry to hear that you are feeling that way! the reason I wanted to answer this is because my husband had a gull bladder attack just about a month ago. now he was doubled over in the floor and said it felt like a tightening in his chest and a house on his rib cage, (right side). he threw up all he ate (sorry to be so gross) and had to go to the bathroom alot (#2) and it was like water. he stayed in the hospitol for 3 days, had to have 3 shots of different pain killers, and that still had to take a good hold of him til he felt no pain! So if you are in here able to type the question then i really dont believe it is that serious, but you should still get checked, cause any discomfort can be something!!!

I had a gallstone and my gallbladder got infected. the strange part was, I felt the pain on my left side..the doctor said it was common..so don't think if the pain is on the left, it's not a gallbladder problem.
I felt bloated.. was constantly using the bathroom and threw up for about 3 days straight before I finally decided it wasn't intestinal flu and went to the doctor.

Less than 20% of people with gallstones have symptoms because they usually stay in the gallbladder and cause no problems. However, sometimes gallstones may lead to your gallbladder becoming inflamed (cholecystitis) which can cause:

* pain in your back and right shoulder,

* nausea, and

Gallstones can sometimes cause flu-like symptoms, such as a high temperature and shivering. This can be a sign that gallstones are causing an infection to develop in your gallbladder.

location is right side.. below your rib cage. Bloated, vomiting, fever and sharp pain (ramdonly)..
*that is what I had before my gall bladder was removed..

but it has to be checked by a doctor to make sure.. to wait to long.. can be dangerous..

my mother in law is in the hospital right now getting hers removed. I would go to the doctor. It got so bad when she ate or drank anything it would hurt her til finally she almost past out from the pain. She had a gall stone blocking up everything and she got Jaundice from it and they were afraid her liver was becoming infected and when that happens you get a fever and you have about two hours to live so GO TO THE DOCTOR!

Your gallbladder is located on your right side, right under the bottom of your ribcage. When I had gallstones and attacks, it felt like a very intense pressure there. I Was also very sick to my stomach, felt bloated, like I was going to throw up, etc. but, my pain came and went. It wasn't constant. You should call your doctor.
