<p><i>Answer &#098;&#121; KB</i>You and &#115;&#104;&#101; won&#8217;t &#104;&#097;&#118;&#101; symptoms. &#115;&#104;&#101; &#106;&#117;&#115;&#116; has the recessive gene for &#105;&#116; and so &#100;&#111;&#101;&#115; her boyfriend. The &#111;&#110;&#108;&#121; &#119;&#097;&#121; &#116;&#104;&#101;&#105;&#114; child will get &#105;&#116; is is &#116;&#104;&#101;&#121; both &#101;&#110;&#100; &#117;&#112; giving her the recessive gene for &#105;&#116;.</p>
<p>The child gets a gene &#102;&#114;&#111;&#109; each parent for everything. In order to &#104;&#097;&#118;&#101; this disease, you &#109;&#117;&#115;&#116; &#104;&#097;&#118;&#101; two recessive genes (the CF gene &#102;&#114;&#111;&#109; each parent). If you &#111;&#110;&#108;&#121; get &#111;&#110;&#101; recessive gene &#102;&#114;&#111;&#109; &#111;&#110;&#101; parent and &#111;&#110;&#101; normal gene &#102;&#114;&#111;&#109; the &#111;&#116;&#104;&#101;&#114; parent, you &#115;&#116;&#105;&#108;&#108; won&#8217;t &#104;&#097;&#118;&#101; &#105;&#116;. You will &#106;&#117;&#115;&#116; &#098;&#101; a carrier &#111;&#102; the gene &#108;&#105;&#107;&#101; your sister. &#111;&#114; the child could get a dominant normal gene &#102;&#114;&#111;&#109; each parent and &#116;&#104;&#101;&#110; &#110;&#111;&#116; &#098;&#101; a carrier and &#110;&#111;&#116; &#104;&#097;&#118;&#101; the disease (best case scenario).</p>
<p>Basically, in perfect genetics, &#116;&#104;&#101;&#105;&#114; baby has a 25% chance &#111;&#102; getting CF, a 50% chance &#111;&#102; being a carrier, and 25% chance &#111;&#102; being completely free &#111;&#102; the gene. The odds &#097;&#114;&#101; the baby will &#110;&#111;&#116; &#104;&#097;&#118;&#101; CF itself &#098;&#117;&#116; &#116;&#104;&#101;&#114;&#101; is &#115;&#116;&#105;&#108;&#108; &#116;&#104;&#097;&#116; chance.</p>
