I would like to know myself. I suspect my 7 year old may have it. he sometimes reads words such as "was" and "no" backwards. He's very smart but he's struggling this school year.

When I was 7 (before they actually decided I had dyslexia) I mostly just had problems with mixing up my letters and numbers. Those were about the only symptoms.

some possible signs are writing letters in reverse
they would find reading harder but have normal intellectuals for their age
