When I urinated and ejaculated I had a burning feeling and I started drinking a lot of water and my urge to urinate went away and my burning while urinating went away. Is it a coincidence, or what ?

The only reason why it burned when you urinated is because you ejaculated and the semen just passed through the penal canal. I'm pretty sure you don't have an infection. The best way to hydrate your body if you dehydrated though is to drink warmer water closer to your body temperature or if you don't like that swirl the water around in your mouth to cool it off. The body loves things its own temperature.

We often talk about problems that are related to the prostate gland, but do we know as to what is the function of this organ in the body. It is an organ that is located at the base or the outlet of the urinary bladder. this gland forms the very first part of the urethra. the urethra is a part or rather a passage through which the urine drains from the bladder and exits the human body. the basic and the most important function of the prostate gland is to help control the amount of urination by pressing directly against the part of the urethra that it surrounds. this gland also produces some of the substances that are found in normal semen, such as minerals and sugar. Semen is the fluid that transports the sperm to assist reproduction.

In a young man, the size of the prostate is just like a walnut. As and when the aging occurs in the human being the gland starts growing big in size. this hormone-related enlargement with aging is called benign prostatic hyperplasia but this condition has nothing to do with the occurrence of prostate cancer in the body. but this problem can cause as much difficulty to the person as it would do to the person suffering from prostate cancer. for example, an enlarged prostate gland can squeeze or impinge on the outlet of the bladder or the urethra and make it difficult for the person to pass urine normally. some other symptoms that are seen occurring are slowing of the urinary stream, or urinating quite frequently specially at night. Such patients should make a deliberate effort to seek advice from their urologist or physician if such symptoms persist for a long time.Talking about prostate cancer, it is a malignant tumor that comprises of cells from the prostate glands. Generally the tumor grows slowly and remains confined to the gland for several years. during this time the tumor does not produce any symptom in the body that would indicate toward the growth of prostate cancer. however all the prostate cancers are quite different in nature. they all produce different signs and symptoms before they actually start occurring. Few aggressive types of tumor grow rapidly in the body than the others would do and cause a significant shortening of life expectancy in the individual. the severity of prostate cancer aggressiveness is the Gleason score that is calculated by a trained pathologist observing prostate biopsy specimens under the microscope. As the cancer grows it can spread over to the other areas in the body too. It can also spread over areas like the bones, lungs and liver. but the main indicators of prostate cancer are the signs and symptoms associated with it.

Prostatitis is a disease of the prostate gland. it is known to cause pain in the groin area, you may experience difficulty urinating and when you do urinate it is likely to be painful. The prostate gland is approximately the same size and shape as a walnut and it produces the components of semen, which is specifically the fluid that helps transport sperm. The prostate gland is located directly below the bladder and actually surrounds the urethra. The urethra is basically a tube which will transport both semen and urine to the penis.

Prostatitis is actually a group of disorders that typically have related symptoms. Certain forms of prostatitis are related to bacterial infections and are able to be effectively treated. However, the bacterial infection form of prostatitis only accounts for up to 10% of all cases. unfortunately, the more common forms of prostatitis are extremely difficult to diagnose and treat, and are not actually understood that well. with that said, there are certain medications that will help to manage the symptoms and there are currently many new therapies being investigated.

The symptoms of prostatitis very much depend on which form of the disease you have. The National Institute of Health has separated the disease into four different categories and these are all based on specific factors. The most common symptoms of prostatitis that are typically present in all four categories include: a burning sensation whenever you urinate, dribbling or hesitant urination, the urgent need to urinate, frequently requiring to urinate, pain in the abdomen, groin, lower back and the perineum (the area between your penis and rectum), painful ejaculations and pain or discomfort in the penis or testicles.

The four categories of prostatitis include:

• Acute bacterial prostatitis whereby the additional symptoms include high fever, chills, nausea, vomiting and a general feeling of being unwell.
• Chronic bacterial prostatitis is most commonly recognised by causing frequent urinary tract infections. unfortunately, a person suffering with this form of prostatitis may show actually no symptoms or even mild or severe symptoms.
• Chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain is typically when your symptoms last for a minimum of three months. Although the symptoms may improve over a period of time without any form of treatment, some men may suffer more severe symptoms.
• Asymptomatic inflammatory prostatitis is when you display no symptoms. unfortunately an inflammation of the prostate gland is usually found by accident and normally when you are undergoing tests for another condition.

The most common causes of both acute and chronic bacterial prostatitis are common strains of bacteria. This will usually involve bacteria being transported in your urine, which will then literally leak from the urethra directly into the prostate. Chronic bacterial prostatitis can often occur because tiny particles of bacteria are hidden inside the prostate and these are usually not eliminated during treatment.

There is, unfortunately, no clearly identifiable cause of chronic prostatitis. Some men never display any evidence of inflammation of the prostate if they are suffering with chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain. there are a few potential causes of chronic prostatitis and these include an immune system disorder, psychological stress, infection, nervous system disorder, traumatic injury or pressure directly onto the prostate from some other form of diseased tissue. The cause of asymptomatic inflammatory prostatitis is still unknown and there is currently research being carried out on this disorder.

Young and middle-aged men are most at risk from the different forms of prostatitis. Certain factors are likely to cause prostatitis and these include an HIV infection, dehydration, infection in the bladder or urethra, trauma from horseback riding or cycling or from the use of a urinary catheter.

There are also certain complications of prostatitis that you should be aware of. If you are suffering with acute bacterial prostatitis this may lead to chronic bacterial prostatitis, inflammation of the epididymitis (the tube that is located at the back of the testicles that stores and carries sperm), a bacterial infection of the blood or in some cases a pus-filled cavity may emerge in the prostate. Chronic prostatitis can lead to abnormalities in your semen and may even cause infertility, and it will generally lead to far poorer quality of life.

When your doctor or health care provider is looking to diagnose prostatitis, they must initially rule out any other condition that may be causing your symptoms. you will undergo a general physical exam and there will also be a number of diagnostic tests which may include a symptom questionnaire, which will typically ask you for scores (e.g. from a scale of 1-10) for how much discomfort you are feeling, pain and difficulties in urinating. a digital rectal exam will allow a doctor to manually examine your prostate gland. This is typically done by then inserting a lubricated, gloved finger directly into your rectum. you may also undergo urine and semen tests, a cystoscopy which is basically an instrument that has a light and small magnifying lens or camera that can be inserted directly through the urethra and into the bladder. Your doctor may also wish to order an urodynamic test which will allow them to check whether the bladder is able to empty itself steadily and completely.

i am 35 years of age and i am very weary about my occasional pain in my testicles. is it detectable even if its on its 1st stage?

Prostate Cancer is one of the most common cancers in American men. there are no warning signs of symptoms of early prostate cancer. once a malignant tumor causes the prostate gland to swell significantly, or once cancer spreads beyond the prostate, the following symptoms may be present:

The testicles sit inside the scrotum. Theyare very sensitive. Even a minor injury can cause pain or discomfort to the testicles.Sudden, severe testicle pain, however,requires immediate medical care.
If a young man has abdominal pain, the scrotum should always be carefully examined. Abdominal pain may occur before testicle pain in some conditions, including testicular torsion. This is a twisting of the testicles that can cut off the blood supply and cause tissue to die. Testicular torsion is an emergency that needs to betreated within hours.

Testicular cancer is usually painless. but any testicle lump should be evaluated by your doctor, whether or not there is pain.

Causes
Common causes of testicle pain include:
Injury
Infection or inflammation
Testicular torsion — most common in young men between 10 and 20 years old

Possible infections include:
Epididymitis — inflammation of the ducts through which sperm leaves the testicle. This is often caused by bacteria like chlamydia, a sexually transmitted disease.
Orchitis — inflammation of one or both testicles, which may be caused by bacteria or a virus like mumps. Orchitis can occur at the same time as epididymitis or prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate gland).
Fluid in the testicles often causes painless swelling, but may cause mild discomfort. there are several main types of fluid collection:
Varicocele — enlarged veins in the scrotum that carry blood away from the testicles.
Spermatocele — fluid in the epididymis that forms a cyst and often contains dead sperm cells.
Hydrocele — fluid in the area inside the scrotum, surrounding the testicle; common in newborns.
Pain may also be caused by a hernia or an unrelieved erection.

Home Care
Some causes of testicle pain, including testicular torsion, can lead to infertility if not treated promptly. Infections also should be examined and treated right away. If the infection is caused by bacteria, your doctor will prescribe an antibiotic.
For non-urgent causes of testicle pain, such as minor injuries and fluid collection, the following home care steps may reduce discomfort and swelling. These steps will also help if you have an infection.
Provide support to the scrotum by wearing an athletic supporter.
Apply ice to the scrotum.
Take warm baths if there are signs of inflammation.
While lying down, place a rolled towel under your scrotum.
Try over-the-counter pain relievers, like acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Do NOT give aspirin to children.

When to Contact a Medical Professional
Call your doctor immediately or go to an emergency room if:
Your pain is severe or sudden
You have had an injury or trauma to the scrotum, and you still have pain or swelling after one hour
Your pain is accompanied by nausea or vomiting

Untwisting of the testicle (performed by an experienced doctor)
Simple surgery to fix testicular torsion (if untwisting is unsuccessful)

Pain medications to relieve discomfort
Surgical drainage or removal of an abscess (rare)
Surgery for a varicocele, a hydrocele, or spermatocele, particularly if the varicocele is contributing to infertility

Prevent injury by wearing an athletic supporter during physical activity, especially contact sports.
