After oral contact, would symptoms appear the next day? would they be dormant for a long time? I don't know if my partner was infected, that's why I ask.

Reddness might appear next day. but alot of STD's don't appear that quickly.
I think I've read somewhere that symptoms usally start showing up after a week, possibly a month sometimes. on ocassion, in HIV cases (I'm of course not implying you might have it) but it's not totally uncommon for someone to live with HIV for as long as ten years before they even know it.
Kinda scary, eh?
If I were you, and you really believe you might have something, please go to the doctor. too many people let their STD's get out of hand because they're to "embarassed" or God knows what, to tell anyone.

If mild std 3 to 7 days, if it's very serious 1 day. After sex acts wash yours & his thoroughly to cleanse genital germs then repeat cleaning every time ya do it. keep safe sex & enjoy it to the max & don't get pregnant yet
