yes, anger and agitation can be very common symptoms of dementia. You would be angry too if you didn't know what was happening. In the early stages, patients will often try to cover up their memory loss, but as memory degrades, they become less and less able to do so. Often doctors will prescribe meds to reduce aggression/agitation as well as meds to slow memory loss.
