I want to know if this is a symptom,so I know if its important or not.

Itchy dry skin can just be caused because it is winter. Heated air dries skin really badly.

Hypothyroidism causes dry skin too. not certain about diabetes.

It can be, but it's not the one that'd be first and foremost on a doctor's checklist. It can also be a symptom of a stack of other things, so if you're worried I'd just get it checked out.

There are MANY precursors for Diabetes. the best way is to get your blood sugar levels checked….
