Have yet to be to the doctor, but I think I might have psoriasis? at times, my scalp is really itchy, not the whole things, just the back of my head and the sides. I don't have lice and I thought maybe it's just cause I wear hats a lot and it was drying my scalp out some how, but that's not it. Anytime I shower, when I run warm water over my head, my scalp begins to itch, when I wash my hair and rinse it, my scalp beings to itch. My father and his father both have psoriasis, could it just be something that runs in our family?

Given the family history, psoriasis is a possibility. Itch and scaling are common complaints. You could try over the counter remedies while waiting for an appointment with the dermatologist. Tar shampoo or gel may help.
