For the past 4 days I have been experiencing pain in my upper abdomen only at night. It gives me the urge to go to the bathroom but it doesnt relieve the pain. When I vomit, my food comes out covered in mucus. Im thinking its either an ulcer or acid reflux but I never get heartburn. Please help.

Alcohol and tobacco usually give rise to a more severe form of gastric disturbance called as gastritis. But it should be restricted in patients with dyspepsia as well.

The pain (which is pretty annoying) is right in my stomach area, below my ribs and above my waist line. But when I push on MY right side it doesnt hurt….only when I push on my left side (diagonal-up from my belly-button) it bites with pain. not quite sure what to think other than wait it out. I think it may have been my late night munchies with pretzels and cream-cheese wiz…..

sounds like it's time to se a gastorinteroligist and get checked out. could be anything from an ulcer, to IBS or worse. better to catch it early and get it taken care of, rather than face the problem when it is MAJOR.

like does it affect how you feel? like tired, headaches, etc etc? anyone know?

First of all, I've spent a lot of time visiting doctors and I'm not asking this question because I'm careless or don 't want to go to a doctor but anyway: I had an ulser and kidney stones, I;ve gone through treatment but I realized that the pain I was feeling must be yet something else as it did not go away. Left side, about the hight of the belly button but off to the side (sometimes pearcing way off to the side(that's why I thought it was a kidney stone/sand)). I have a suspicion that it might be the pancreas or intestine. It's a pearcing/stabbing kind of a pain, it comes and goes, some sitting positions make it come on or make it worse. what kind of test should I do for this, blood/usg? Accoring to my last usg I have no stones or sand in the kidneys, and no symptoms of ulcer like action after the treatment. any info on this will be greatly apreciated.
