The dog is 12 weeks old (has all it's shots) and is lethargic, vomitting and has diarrhea.
I believe he was exposed to an area were the virus was a few weeks ago, but he wasn't exposed to a dog with parvo. He was first exposed to the area on Thursday (6 days ago).

Is this DEFINATLEY parvo, or are there other options?

you should definetely check up with your vet. I had a 3 month old rot that died 2 days ago of parvo. monday it just started to where it wouldn't come to us when we called it or play, or eat, or drink. we took it to the doctor and he told us it had tape-worms and that it could be easily fixed. the next morning he called me and said that "piggy" the rot had parvo. It's not the disease that cuases them to die or act the way it does, its just dehydration and starvation. I would seriously go and get it checked out. I wish I would've before piggy died.

It does sound like Parvo, but Corona has the very same symptoms. It could also be Cocci, or Giardia.or Salmonella…only a poop smear at the vet's can diagnose for certain..

It sounds like Parvo, but it could also have a severe worm infestation, bacterial infestation (like giardia or coccidia), or HGE (hemorrhageic gastroentritis)… all of these will KILL your pup if they are not treated.

You need to get your dog to the vet TODAY and have it properly diagnosed. Remember to take a sample of its "poop" with you for testing.

please dont let your dog suffer with this, he needs to go to the vet today, sometimes if they catch it early on they can save them. it does sound like parvo, but it could be distemper, hook worms, and there are several other diseases that are curable if caught early. so please take him to the vet

Your puppy has not completed the vaccination schedule. It's highly likely that since he was in an area where Parvo was that he's contracted this deadly virus. You need to take him to the vet IMMEDIATELY.

Get the dog tested asap!!!!! if it has parvo everything you own needs to be disinfected. There are treatments for parvo but they are expensive and not guaranteed

Animals don't show signs of rabies right away. its like a human having a virus (flu for example). We don't show signs for weeks at times and then suddenly we feel sick. Rabies is the same way, fine one day and then slowly going down hill. You're kitten is still pretty young to be having shots, I believe a kitten has to be 6-8 weeks to get shots. just watch the behavior and then bring him to the vet asap for a check up and shots. First, let me say it's unlikely that a tiny kitten is infected with rabies. if he is alive, he is probably older than 3 wks. He wouldn't be able to feed himself until 6 wks or more.

There are however diseases that can be present in a kitten which are passed on from Mom at birth, and can kill the kitten and also pass to other cats. if at all possible, you need to take the kitten in for a simple blood test to check for Feline Leukemia. the vet will want to vaccinate, but not for Rabies with a kitten so young. . . that won't be done until he is 4 mo old or so.

To answer your question about Rabies. . . it is actually common for an animal to be very quiet, rather than the classic image we have of an aggressive animal. the thing is, you are looking for an animal behaving in any way that is not normal. For example, many people find a bat in broad daylight and assume it is lost or something. a bat in daylight is actually disoriented and sick. . . likely with rabies. And shouldn't be handled! Even a rabid dog, can just be quiet and out of sorts.

Ok. I'm from the Philippines. Vet here only treat dogs and animals. If there's a guinea pig vet here, I wont ask questions here. I'll bring him to the vet ASAP. but there's no vet specialize in guinea pigs. Guinea pigs here are considered exotic pets. Really hard to find veterinarians that can treat guinea pigs. Please help. First of all, if you are going to give him parsley make sure it's only a little bit. you don't need to give your guinea pig vitamin C, because parsley has more vitamin C than an orange, so it can't be scurvy.
Don't know what else it could be though.

If his neck is tilted to the side, he might have ear mites that are causing neurological damage, which is actually fairly common in rodents and small animals. One of our rats we used to have, my sister's old rabbit, and our hedgehog we just recently lost all had this problem. If you can, I suggest taking him to the vet ASAP, even if there are no vets that specialize in guinea pigs. He /needs/ to see a vet, before it's too late.

I've had some experience with pancreatitis in my dogs and they usually start with symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea, sometimes bloody diarrhea. you should see you vet ASAP if this happens.

My dog was outside and when he crossed the threshold to come back inside his back arched really high, he started shaking, and his legs were folded up and we're almost paralyzed looking (he could not walk). his upper body was normal and so was his face and expression. The vet thinks he possibly had a seizure but my dog was coherent while exhibiting these symptoms and he wasn't drooling or unresponsive. The shaking/paralyzed legs only lasted around two minutes and then he was back to his normal, playful self. has this happened to anyone else's pet before? Thank you for your help!

Yes, it surely could have been a seizure. .They can escalate or increase in number and severity.
Medications can control seizures & the animal should be monitored.
Other animals may become alarmed and it can promote an attack.
It doesn't state how old your animal is,any recent injuries etc.
Should this happen again, get to a vet asap for evaluation.

Definitely sounds like a seizure. Maybe a localized seizure that only encompassed the back end. have the vet do some blood work if it happens again. It could get worse, so be prepared.

well all the dog food i noe of is brown. and theyve ben poisonin dog food so take him to the vet. theyll take some samples/ give him something to stop the vomiting and take tests to c if its true. dont wait, or it may b 2 late…

i'd take him to the vet as soon as possible, and as you probaly already know, dont keep feeding him the same food. ask your vet what you should feed him. he might give you a list of brands.

If you live in FL or any area with poisonous toads, contact a vet, ASAP. otherwise, just be glad, that you don't have that issue. Even non-poisonous toads will taste bad & make dogs foam at the mouth (as an escape mechanism).

I would take him to the vet if he was foaming,some toads are poisonous,and he could die if it was one.
