We are waiting for blood tests for this or Valley Fever. I am so scared. Is there anything I can do for her in the meanwhile, and or anything that would indicate one or the other?

I think its possible. Don't waste your time take him to a vet

If this is a cough that has lasted a few weeks (too long to have waited) they get kennel cough at dog shows, pet shops, groomers and even at the vet office….It is viral (parainfluenza) then I believe a bacteria infection….after this clears up get regularly with the yearly shots a Bordatellosis vaccine your vet should suggest this but usually says if you are going to leave your dog at the kennel but I'd say get it anyways as you can see this if picked up from more common places other than a kennel…..
