I have shooting pin pain in my upper right abdominal area, is this a symptom of pancreatic cancer or disease?

you really dont get symptoms from pancreatic cancer. but a friend of grandpas had this (he's doing fine) had a doctor that was able to have tube go straigth through his throat down directly to his pancreas and inject chemotherapy right to the cancer.
