<p>i &#097;&#109; so sorry you &#097;&#114;&#101; &#115;&#117;&#099;&#104; a wreck&#8230;.. you &#099;&#111;&#117;&#108;&#100; try doing &#115;&#111;&#109;&#101; deep breathing&#8230; &#105;&#110; and &#111;&#117;&#116;&#8230;. breathe &#105;&#110; &#102;&#111;&#114; a count &#111;&#102; three and &#111;&#117;&#116; &#102;&#111;&#114; a count &#111;&#102; four&#8230;. &#116;&#104;&#101;&#110; breathe &#105;&#110; &#102;&#111;&#114; a count &#111;&#102; four and &#111;&#117;&#116; &#102;&#111;&#114; a count &#111;&#102; five&#8230;&#8230; etc&#8230; until you &#097;&#114;&#101; breathing &#105;&#110; &#102;&#111;&#114; a count &#111;&#102; ten and &#111;&#117;&#116; &#102;&#111;&#114; a count &#111;&#102; 11&#8230;..</p>
<p>Yes, practice driving, &#103;&#101;&#116; &#097;&#115; comfortable behind the wheel &#097;&#115; you can. Spend hours doing the parallel parking etc.</p>
<p>Relax. &#099;&#097;&#108;&#109; &#100;&#111;&#119;&#110;&#8230; &#105;&#102; you don&#039;t pass the first time you can &#097;&#108;&#119;&#097;&#121;&#115; re-take &#105;&#116;. I was really nervous, but I got a 93 on my test. Don&#039;t forget &#116;&#111; use your blinkers on the three point turn, even &#105;&#102; &#116;&#104;&#101;&#114;&#101; is &#110;&#111; &#111;&#110;&#101; around&#8230; &#116;&#104;&#101;&#121; dock you &#102;&#111;&#114; that. But &#115;&#101;&#114;&#105;&#111;&#117;&#115;&#108;&#121;, just deep breaths, &#103;&#101;&#116; enough sleep. &#105;&#102; you feel sick and &#097;&#114;&#101; like freaking &#111;&#117;&#116; about &#105;&#116; you won&#039;t be focused &#102;&#111;&#114; your test. You&#039;ll be fine. &#103;&#111;&#111;&#100; Luck!!!</p>
<p>When I &#104;&#097;&#100; my driving test and refused &#116;&#111; &quot;pay&quot; &#116;&#104;&#101;&#109; thay failed &#109;&#101; 2 times.<br /> And wait &#116;&#105;&#108;&#108; you see &#109;&#101; &#110;&#111;&#119; 5 years later&#8230;ready &#102;&#111;&#114; the WRC!!!<br /> So&#8230;&#110;&#111; big deal!</p>
<p>yes, &#102;&#105;&#110;&#100; a nice comfortable setting, &#115;&#111;&#109;&#101;&#119;&#104;&#101;&#114;&#101; you can relax, &#112;&#101;&#114;&#104;&#097;&#112;&#115; &#115;&#111;&#109;&#101; relaxing music, and breath slowly, &#097;&#115; you inhale and exhale listen &#116;&#111; your breathing &#097;&#115; ocean waves coming and &#111;&#117;&#116; &#102;&#114;&#111;&#109; ashore. this &#119;&#105;&#108;&#108; help &#099;&#097;&#108;&#109; you. &#116;&#104;&#101;&#110; visualize yourself driving . repeat steps &#097;&#115; much &#097;&#115; you like. with defferent relaxing techniques. when the test comes you &#119;&#105;&#108;&#108; be so relax and mentally prepared. trust &#109;&#101;.</p>
<p>Have you &#116;&#114;&#105;&#101;&#100; talking &#116;&#111; someone you trust about &#104;&#111;&#119; anxious you &#097;&#114;&#101;? &#115;&#111;&#109;&#101;&#116;&#105;&#109;&#101;&#115; that helps &#109;&#101; feel &#115;&#111;&#109;&#101; relief when I&#039;m feeling really overwhelmed. &#105;&#102; you &#097;&#114;&#101; too embarassed or not comfortable talking with someone &#116;&#104;&#101;&#110; try writing &#105;&#116; &#100;&#111;&#119;&#110; &#115;&#111;&#109;&#101;&#119;&#104;&#101;&#114;&#101; private. Write &#100;&#111;&#119;&#110; just like you &#100;&#105;&#100; &#097;&#098;&#111;&#118;&#101; except explain &#119;&#104;&#097;&#116; &#105;&#116; is that makes you feel so tense, &#102;&#111;&#114; example: every time I think about getting into the car &#116;&#111; &#116;&#097;&#107;&#101; my driving test my mouth becomes so dry I can hardly swallow and my heart feels like &#105;&#116; &#119;&#105;&#108;&#108; hammer &#114;&#105;&#103;&#104;&#116; &#111;&#117;&#116; &#111;&#102; my chest. That &#119;&#097;&#121; you &#097;&#114;&#101; acknowledging &#116;&#104;&#111;&#115;&#101; feelings and &#116;&#097;&#107;&#105;&#110;&#103; &#115;&#111;&#109;&#101; &#111;&#102; the power away &#102;&#114;&#111;&#109; &#116;&#104;&#101;&#109;. I &#107;&#110;&#111;&#119; &#102;&#111;&#114; &#109;&#101; &#105;&#116; help just &#116;&#111; be &#097;&#098;&#108;&#101; &#116;&#111; see that &#116;&#104;&#111;&#115;&#101; feelings &#097;&#114;&#101; just words and can be reduced &#116;&#111; lines on the page. My therapist &#097;&#108;&#115;&#111; recommends getting rid &#111;&#102; the paper once you have written &#105;&#116; &#100;&#111;&#119;&#110;. So &#097;&#102;&#116;&#101;&#114; you have &#109;&#097;&#100;&#101; your peace with your fears you can literally throw &#116;&#104;&#101;&#109; away and forget about &#116;&#104;&#101;&#109;! And when &#116;&#104;&#101;&#121; start &#116;&#111; creep back &#105;&#110; just &#116;&#097;&#107;&#101; a deep breath and remind yourself that you have already dealt with this and resolved &#105;&#116;. &#105;&#116; sounds kind &#111;&#102; silly but &#098;&#101;&#108;&#105;&#101;&#118;&#101; &#105;&#116; or not &#105;&#116; can work. &#098;&#101;&#115;&#116; &#111;&#102; luck &#116;&#111; you!</p>
<p>Well, this doesn&#039;t sound like a full-blown generalized anxiety disorder, &#115;&#105;&#110;&#099;&#101; you have pinpointed a specific cause &#111;&#102; your anxiety. First off, &#104;&#101;&#114;&#101; is something you can &#100;&#111; &#116;&#111; control your pounding heart: </p>
<p> &#101;&#109;&#112;&#116;&#121; your lungs.<br /> 1) &#116;&#097;&#107;&#101; 5 slow breaths successively until your lungs &#097;&#114;&#101; &#102;&#117;&#108;&#108; (don&#039;t exhale);<br /> 2) hold this breath &#105;&#110; &#102;&#111;&#114; a count &#111;&#102; 5;<br /> 3) let the air &#111;&#117;&#116; &#111;&#102; your lungs &#105;&#110; 5 slow exhalations.<br /> 4) Repeat steps 1)-3) five times, or &#097;&#115; often &#097;&#115; necessary.</p>
<p> Once you&#039;ve managed &#116;&#111; &#099;&#097;&#108;&#109; &#100;&#111;&#119;&#110; a little bit, write &#117;&#112; a list &#111;&#102; the &#116;&#104;&#105;&#110;&#103;&#115; that &#097;&#114;&#101; bothering you (in &#112;&#097;&#114;&#116;&#105;&#099;&#117;&#108;&#097;&#114;, &#116;&#104;&#105;&#110;&#103;&#115; that you &#097;&#114;&#101; worried about happening &#105;&#110; the driver&#039;s test). Is &#105;&#116; a reasonable worry &#116;&#111; have? &#105;&#102; &#105;&#116; isn&#039;t, write &#100;&#111;&#119;&#110; a rational response &#116;&#111; the worry, explaining why &#105;&#116; is unreasonable (e.g. worrying about running &#111;&#118;&#101;&#114; someone during your test. This is unreasonable because you &#119;&#105;&#108;&#108; be &#105;&#110; a safe environment, you haven&#039;t &#114;&#117;&#110; &#111;&#118;&#101;&#114; anyone yet, &#116;&#104;&#101;&#114;&#101; &#119;&#105;&#108;&#108; be a trained professional with you, etc.) &#105;&#102; &#105;&#116; is reasonable, &#097;&#115;&#107; yourself, so &#119;&#104;&#097;&#116; is the &#119;&#111;&#114;&#115;&#116; that &#099;&#111;&#117;&#108;&#100; happen? Write &#105;&#116; &#100;&#111;&#119;&#110;. Is &#105;&#116; likely? Probably not. </p>
<p> The act &#111;&#102; writing &#100;&#111;&#119;&#110; your fears helps you &#116;&#111; consciously acknowledge &#116;&#104;&#101;&#109; and overcome &#116;&#104;&#101;&#109;. </p>
<p> It&#039;s just a test! &#103;&#111;&#111;&#100; luck!</p></p>
