So a month ago I was diagnosed with gonorrhea, however I never had any symptoms. Anyway they treated me with a single dose of antibiotics. I must have had gonorrhea for 18 months since that's the last time I slept with somebody.
The only symptom I ever had was discomfort in my intestines, however that's not a symptom of gonorrhea. well now I'm getting pain in my knees, ankles, wrists, shins, and my liver. I also have this burning sensation in specific spots in my lower abdomen and my lower back.
Are these symptoms that gonorrhea is still persistent? or maybe they are symptoms caused by the killing of the bacteria.
Any ideas?
The incubation period, the time from exposure to the bacteria until symptoms develop, is usually 2 to 5 days. But sometimes symptoms may not develop for up to 30 days. Gonorrhea may not cause symptoms until the infection has spread to other areas of the body.Gonorrhea causes no long-term problems if it is treated early in the course of the infection before any complications develop. Untreated gonorrhea can lead to many complications. so you have to visit your medical practitioner immediately.
I found these symptoms of gonorrhea online:
abnormal bleeding
a burning sensation during urination
vaginal discharge
general irritation of the outer area of the vagina
