I was considering moving from the UK to uganda. I wondered if after catching malaria for the first time does it get simpler after that?
because i dont want to be going to hospital every month
No. it can be worse as the germs enter the head you could become so restless that Malaria will be diagnosed though, but more of psychic symptoms with jaundiced skin will be present. it has to be eradicated from the system. Switching over to Uganda is a much more dangerous proposition as the Malaria germs in those area are more virulent and gives less time. I mean, you won't have a next time there. the important thing is that the course of treatment should be completed and frequently/periodically checked for Malaria and eradicate it completely from the system. the house and surroundings have to be disinfected by the Health Centre. you can use Arsenic Album,China, Cina and Ipec etc. in homeopathy in addition to allopathic treatment you are taking. use homeopathic medicines in consultation with a doctor.
Malaria is not something you want to catch – it kills more people worldwide than any other illness. it is a disaster if you get it a second time.
Malaria is a killer. you need to take professional advice before you go. Getting Malaria and leaving it untreated can kill within days.
There are drugs that can kill the parasite in your bloodstream but they aren't 100% as there are various types of Malaria. the best thing you can do is see a travel nurse and get either doxycillyn or Larium and makle sure you take it exactly when it's due. you also need to take a lot of deet based mosquito repellent and use it liberally at all times.
I can't stress how important this all is.
Edit to add:
It isn't a picky parasite and will kill white as well as black people. nobody is immune.
If you get Malaria there is a chance of dying, if you get rid of it and contract it again then you stand the same or greater chance of dying. I know people who have been at death's door when they got it a second or third time.
Be very careful. Learn the symptoms of Malaria, Wear long sleeved shirts and long trousers at night, use repellent – deet based – use a Mosquito net and fly killers at night. empty any still water containers once a week, fire buckets etc. make sure your accommodation has insect screens and you know the location and contact details of the nearest doctor that can treat you.
