PUEBLO, Colo. — A wanted felon who ran from police last week has been arrested and accused of raping and beating a Pueblo woman.28-year-old Augustin Claude Martinez was arrested last week for domestic violence, auto theft and vehicular eluding charges. He bonded out of jail.on Tuesday, Martinez was arrested on an additional charge of first-degree sexual assault.33-year-old Diane Marie Romero was also arrested on sexual assault chargesAccording to an arrest affidavit from the Pueblo Police Department, Martinez and Romero raped and beat a woman on Nov. 20th in a home on the east side.the victim had passed out after mixing alcohol and medications and woke up while being assaulted, the affidavit said.the homeowner told police in the affidavit that he woke up and witnessed Martinez raping the victim and saw Romero kicking Martinez in the head.according to the affidavit, the homeowner chased the suspects out of the house and called his friend who was a nurse to help the victim.the victim was taken to Parkview Medical Center and treated for four broken ribs, bleeding on the brain and tares to her vagina and anus. A nurse told police in the affidavit it ?was the worse sexual assault she had ever seen.?During a police interview, Martinez and Romero said they were at the home that night but denied raping or assaulting the victim.Martinez is being held in Pueblo County jail on a $200,000 bail. Romero is being held in on a $100,000 bail.
