Throughout Barchester there is a true passion to deliver the best for our residents. We are one of the UK’s most respected care home companies, providing award winning care and services to thousands of residents throughout the UK.

In line with Barchester Healthcare’s reputation as the number one care provider, we are delighted to have achieved the Hospitality Assured standard for the last 5 years running. Barchester is the only major provider of care homes to have achieved this prestigious Award.

Barchester Healthcare has over 14 years experience in caring for older people and people living with dementia in a range of environments. We offer residential nursing homes as well as day care services.

Our nursing homes provide accommodation, meals, nursing assistance, social and personal care and have professional registered nurses and experienced care assistants in constant attendance day and night, which can make an ideal solution for the elderly. a real sense of community develops in every home, while independence and dignity are always respected.

We work in partnership with housing associations to provide supported living services for people with learning disabilities, people with mental health needs, people with autism, people with physical disabilities and people with neurological conditions. We work closely with the people we support, those within their social network and with our colleagues in health and social care through an open and transparent approach with clear and ongoing communication. our personalised approach means that we can offer care and support up to 24 hours a day.

Many of our care homes offer local members of the community an opportunity to take advantage of day-care services, or become involved in a range of organised social activities.

This is a benefit to anyone finding life a little difficult at home on their own, but it can also be a welcome break for carers who need to know their loved ones are cared for professionally – once a day, or once a week, depending on individual needs.
