QUESTION: How is Chlamydia transmitted?hello.
I am a gay man that is currently in, what I thought, was a mutually monogamous relationship. I have just been treated for Chlamydia. My symptoms were noticed in my penis (slight burning and mucous discharge). My question is, how is chlamydia transmitted? If the bacteria was present in my penis, how was it transmitted there? could I have gotten it from penetrating my infected partner’s anus? could I have gotten it from my infected partner penetrating my anus and it travel to my penis? could I have gotten it by my infected partner performing oral sex on me? could I have gotten it from performing oral sex on my infected partner? (Is it like a cold, once the bacteria is in your body it can go anywhere and spread as such?) Because the relationship was suppose to be monogamous, we were having unprotected sex. I am also curious as to how he got it-if he was having unprotected sex with someone else (other than unprotected oral sex). thank you so much for your help-very little information exists about this in places I have looked online-especially specifically for a gay man!

QUESTION: Men who love their girlfriends read this?say you have been with your gf for 2 yrs officially, you’ve known her since HS but reconnected about 2yrs after graduation. anyways, she had just come out of a serious relationship of 3 yrs, and was single and had one other sex partner in between that time (her ex and you).. after the first time you and her had sexual relations she found out she had Chlamydia, she was treated and had u treated just to be save since there was one unprotected encounter between the 2 of you. Nonethless, you stayed with her knowing it wasn’t her fault necessarily and began a real relationship.. After one year you moved in with her, and have been advancing the relationship more and more every day. She is madly in love with you and you tell her she is your other half.
Well, back in Feb (after almost 1.5yrs together) and again in March you (the boyfriend) developed a rash on your genital area but we both blew it off b/c we were totally monogomous and thought it was actually from too much sex..Well, your girl friend eventually goes in for regular pap smear and mentions these rashes to her Dr just b/c she remembered wanted to verify it could have been from friction.. (your girlfriend hasn’t had any issues/rashes/symptoms of anything) but then she gets a call that the blood test they took as precaution came back pos. for herpes..
Now, how would you handle that news being him in this situation. I have never cheated on him, I have had a limited amount of sex partners, I have never had symptoms, but I’m not blaming him. I’m just afraid he will blame this on me b/c of the past what happened. It very well could be from me, but it could be from him as well, as my Dr put it, ‘there is no way of knowing unless neither of you have ever had intercourse, or oral sex ever in your life’.. but i just think it’s strange he didn’t have any symptoms until Feb and I still haven’t had anything wrong down there.. I know it can lie dormant for months to yrs, I’ve been doing so much research so I can be educated when I break this news to him.. I plan on printing out facts about this condition and even taking him to a Dr appt with me after he calms down to have them explain all of this as well, sometimes its easier to believe the facts hearing from a Dr…. but I can’t help but be afraid he’s going to freak out, hate me and leave me. we need to support eachother through this. After all, it really is merely a viral skin condition that happens to affect an area people don’t want affected (it can actually be anywhere on your body legs, thighs, arms, face etc)
I freaked out at first too so I understand if he will.. I just don’t want him to point the finger at me, who ever gave this to either of us, probably didn’t know they had it either.
Can any males give me advice as to how u would handle this, please don’t be rude, and be serious and honest, but if it’s mean please go to another question b/c I’m very emotional about this still, thanks.

ANSWER: Relax!!!….first of all remember that ur actual problem is not ur disease but it is ur fear….& fear to loose ur love due to all that what u hav explained…u need to concentrate on the problem…& not on the emotions…because u have already countered ur emotions & hav understood ur mistake(may be unknowingly)…U want to lead a good life “WITH UR LOVE” & do not want to loose him at any cost…So for solving this problem u need to “DIRECTLY TALK” with ur love….gather some strength from ur within….request him to listen to u with a cool mind…explain him everything….tell him that u can justify him & prove him that this problem can be solved…only if he (ur love) supports you “EMOTIONALLY & PRACTICALLY” & u both can forget ur past & enjoy ur new life “ONCE AGAIN”….It may happen that after listening to you he may get angry & will not support you at all….but if he behaves so…then u need to tell him that u love him “GENUINELY & TRULY”… so u dont want to hide anything from him…because this is the truth which will definitely come out one day… tell him u dont want to build relation on the basis of false things….Request him to support you….If he loves you truly….m sure he’l turn upto you & will never leave u at any cost….bye…tc…
