U.S. soap star DEBBI MORGAN is planning to return to her role on hit show ALL MY CHILDREN in two months after undergoing treatment for Lyme disease.
The actress recently revealed she has been suffering from the condition, caused by bacteria from a tick, for over 15 years.
she was forced to take a career break in December (10) to seek medical attention for the advancing condition, with programme writers working Morgan’s absence into the storyline, sending her pregnant character Dr. Angela Baxter Hubbard away to San Francisco, California to visit her daughter.
the 54 year old is remaining upbeat as she receives treatment for the illness in a bid to curb the symptoms, which include severe fatigue, arthritis and heart problems.
a source tells the National Enquirer, “She is in good spirits and says she doesn’t anticipate any problems…
“Debbi didn’t want to leave the show because she has a contract with ABC and she’s a real trouper. But it got to the point she couldn’t do the show and get treatment at the same time, so she didn’t have a choice.”
But Morgan is planning a fast return to the series: “She is going to get aggressive treatment and is hoping to be back on all my Children in a couple of months.”
