the above question, and after the initial infection from sharing needles, how long does it take for symptoms from herpes and hpv to show up?
You shared a needle with someone?
How stupid can you be?
And you got an infection from it already? Cripes. what an idiot.
herpes and HPV can be dormant for years. Needle sharing is absolutely inappropriate. if you've got to get that hit, find an online diabetes website and order some needles. honestly, what you really need is a methadone clinic, and a boost in self respect. Life's good, don't blow it on smack.
edit: you should google "hepatitis C" images and see how gross your liver will look should you get it.
Herpes and HPV are viruses… just like the flu or a cold.
The virus can lay dormant in the body for years before the first sign of symptoms occur.
There is now a vaccine for HPV.
It must not because having herpes and hpv does not prohibit donating blood.
Chlamydia, venereal warts (human papilloma virus), or genital herpes are not a cause for deferral if you are feeling healthy and well and meet all other eligibility requirements. redcross.org/services/biomed/…
"The herpes viruses are transmitted through direct contact between mucous membranes (e.g., during kissing and sexual relations) and not in the blood, so you should be able to donate blood without any problem.
