This might be a dumb question, but whenever i see "some std's don't show any physical symptoms; you could have them for years (or life) and never know it," i think- well what is the problem then? if the reason is just that you could pass it on to others, why would that be a problem either? I mean if that person is never going to know they have it anyway..
Haven't you ever heard of syphilis? it will literally rot your brain and leave you a mental cripple. HPV is a major problem for women in that is is the cause of most cervical cancer. HIV–need I say more?
Well for one, stds have been linked to cancer. Most women who have cervical cancer have had an untreated std. also infertility, stds can lead to not being able to have kids. also the symptoms may show up later.
They will know when they discover that they are infertile, or when they are diagnosed with cancer, or when they have a life threatening ectopic pregnancy.
Chlamydia– could have no obvious symptoms 'til it turns into epidydimitis or pelvic inflammatory disease.
Gonorrhea– could show no obvious symptoms 'til it makes an even bigger mess than chlamydia.
Syphilis can go dormant and later cause damage to every internal organ including the brain.
HIV can present no obvious symtoms while it destroys the immune system.
What everyone else already said
People who think like this are the reason STDs are spred…
Might be a dumb question?
