Is HIV symptoms of a fair skin person red spots on skin that look like small pinpoints?

by Symptom Advice on January 22, 2011

First I have tested 3 times negative and the spots don't hurt. But I can't get it out of my mind that these spots have to do something with HIV. I have been compulsive about this. if there is anyone that has this please help me understand what the red spots are. I have them on my arms, legs and hands.

Thank you

I've never heard of that. I have the red dots on my upper arms and i always worried it was skin cancer. why don't you ask your doctor.

why haven't you seen a doctor about those spots?
If the spots open up and bleed or pus comes out of them, it could be Herpes. But if they are not open lesions and they are not hurting you, then it could be related to allergies !
Please go see a doctor.

No. that is not HIV. But you do have a skin condition which your doctor should be able to tell you about. ask him. But it is not HIV. The red lesions from HIV are much larger than pin points, they are more like larger blotches.

I don't think it would be HIV, however that could be a symptom of Syphilis, see a doctor right away

ummm…if you are really concerned about HIV, start practicing safe sex immediately and go get tested!

HIV itself has no outward symptoms. it attacks the immune system. The outward effects of such an attack would more manifest more likely through a disease or illness that is rare or easily treated.
