Six succumb to H1N1 virus in 24 hrs in Pune

The dead were identifed as Dattatray Krishnaji Marne (60) from Mulshi in Pune district, Amar Uttamrao Kadam (40) from Satara, Lata Yashwant Nikam (35) from Sangvi, Purkayastha Rajat (37) from Kothrud, Pratibha Sameer Admuthe (30) from Chinchwad and Rohidas Kondiba Gawade (35) from Pimple Saudagar. all of them had tested positive for the swine flu. the disease has so far claimed 317 lives in the worst-affected city since the outbreak of epidemic in August last year. Both Marne and Kadam were admitted to Sassoon Hospital with swine flu symptoms. they died last night. Marne was admitted since July 31, whereas Kadam was admitted since July 28. Nikam was admitted to the Yeshwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital, Pimpri since August seven, where she died last night. Rajat, who was admitted to the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital with symptoms of fever, cough and body pain since last three days back, died early today. Admuthe, who was suffering from swine flu like symptoms since last eight days, also died at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital last night. Gawade, who was suffering from fever with chills, cough, cold, sore throat and breathlessness since his admission in the KEM Hospital on August four, died at the KEM hospital last night.
