i think my friend may be getting ready to have one. sometimes she don't talk about what she is really feeling.
The standard disorders of a breakdown are known as tunnel vision and eyes get very small pupils. the patient cant make a choice logically or even at all. the stress can be seen in the skin as the pores become huge even bleeding and the face becomes white. the body odors change from normal. as the psychosis continues the patient loses reality when the lower brain switches all messages at random to and from the upper brain.
for me, these were the symptoms i encountered during my n/b:
1. extreme anxiety
2. panic attacks
3. being afraid that someone will discover my true mental state
4. extreme sadness
5. wanting to isolate myself from family and friends
6. crying, crying, crying
7. ideation with thoughts of self-destruction
8. feeling like was head was going to CRACK open
9. memory failure
10. inability to pay attention and focus
11. understanding clearly what LOSING MY MIND means
12. fear of just about all social situations and fear of just about everything that use to be ordinary behavior
13. complete loss of libido
i've probably left out a few. it's a hideous, horrific affliction. please continue to surround your friend. don't hesitate to delve into her emotions. ask her the question—-are you or have you ever fixated on killing yourself. seek help for her if she won't do it herself.
No such thing as a "nervous breakdown."
