I bit on a nut and a crown I had pushed way up and made me bleed. My eyes watered and since then I am all congested (mostly on that side. Is this due to a pierced sinus? who do I go to? I am seeing a guy for an crown implant but shoudl I see a different doctor for thsi sinus problem? Does it sound liek a hole?
I doubt that you pushed the tooth up into the sinus. the upper molars and premolars do, however, often project into the maxillary sinus, but there is usually a thin layer of bone, as well as the lining of the sinus. for you to have pierced the sinus, the entire tooth would have to be moveable not just side to side, but also up and down. If that's the case, that tooth needs to come out. I don't think the two are related, unless, like I said, that tooth can be moved up and down in the socket, so I would see an MD for the sinus problem, and your Dentist for the crown. Hope this helps
