An STD with no symptoms for men but painful for women?

by Symptom Advice on November 26, 2010

Is there an STD that can be carried by a man with no noticable symptoms, that he can pass on to a woman through unprotected sex and be very painful for the woman? within a couple days the symptoms occour.

Not that I know of… but she may have gotten a urinary tract infection (UTI). those hurt like hell, and usually show up a day or two after sex.

Men can have gonorrhea or chlamydia without many symptoms – as can women. Women are more likely to get the discharge though.

Herpes can be passed on even wihtout an active outbreak – about 14 days later or so the other partner would start developing symptoms.

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are passed from person to person during sexual activity. STDs such as chlamydia and gonorrhea are caused by bacteria. Single-celled organisms called parasites cause trichomoniasis. Genital herpes and human papillomavirus (HPV) are caused by viruses. The HIV virus, responsible for causing AIDs, is one of the deadliest STDs.
